| With the deepening of the aging process, population aging has rapidly evolved into an issue of the times involving all fields and industries, such as the working-age population getting older before getting richer, the shortage of newborn working population, the increase of empty nesters, the great demand for rehabilitation and physiotherapy, the unprecedented pressure on the younger generation of young adults to retire, the imperfect development of elderly facilities, etc. The aging of the population will be accompanied by urbanization and digital development to give rise to new lifestyles and social forms, and people from all walks of life and from all walks of life will work together from their own fields and professions to meet the opportunities and challenges of the "silver age".Since ageing is a product of the rapid development of society and an irreversible trend, the issue of "healthy ageing" should be considered and acted upon, taking into account the development of technology and national policies, not only focusing on the physical health of the elderly, but also on the emotional health of the elderly from the perspective of emotional care.We should not only focus on the physical health of the elderly, but also on their psychological health from the perspective of emotional care,so as to reshape the emotional value of the elderly and improve the happiness index of the elderly in China. This study integrates the psychology of the elderly, design psychology, design art expression and other related disciplines, combines literature research and design practice, and analyzes the current situation, emotional characteristics and emotional needs of the urban retired elderly group from the perspective of "emotional care" from the perspective of geropsychology: the prolongation of healthy old age,the general education level The extended healthy old age,the high level of education, the relative economic affluence and the multi-level leisure, cultural and recreational needs have given the urban retired elderly a new "third life".The author proposes a coping strategy from a design psychology perspective, focusing on the use of recreational spaces to assist the retired elderly group to pass through the adaptation period of role loss, social loss and loss of emotional value more quickly. It is proposed that the relationship between recreational spaces and elderly people is not just one of being used, but one of"organic integration",where spaces can use "spatial language"(decorative features, functional layout)to carry out "information exchange"(cultural exchange)with space users."The space can use the ’language of space’(decorative features, functional layout)to exchange information(cultural identity, belonging and achievement)and communicate effectively(positive psychological impact, positive environmental cues)with the users of the space, and the job of the space furnishing designer is to help the space find its own form of language. The design practice follows the above principles, relying on the Huangjueping community in Jiulongpo District,Chongqing(the family area of Tangping Village of Sichuan Fine Arts Institute),the art and recreation space is designed with the retired artists as the main clientele. The artistic cultural characteristics of the space, the leisure and social functions of art creation, art display and art exchange, and the infectious and affectionate positive recreation atmosphere give the Tangping Village art and recreation space its own unique temperament, which can attract retired artists from shallow to deep to experience, realise their self-worth and gain a wonderful "third life" in the process of active participation. |
