Based On The Elderly Residential Environmental Psychology The Outer Space Environment Design Research

The present situation of aging population is becoming increasingly serious and it has caused a series of social problems, thus become the focus of the attention from various circles of society. As the main space of the elderly living environment, the elderly residential house has become the important carrier of the elderly daily life, thus it should be paid attention to the quality of shape to improve the quality of the elderly’s life. The current domestic study of elderly residential house is mainly focused on the elderly demand for indoor functions, the pattern of the room, barrier-free facilities and the use of internal facilities etc. However, the study of elderly residential external space environment design has not been given enough attention.Based on the theory of environmental psychology, the thesis excavates the related theory on what is suitable for elderly residential external space environment design. By investigating the elderly physiological, psychological and behavior characteristics, the thesis summarizes the practical needs of the elderly to the external space environment, and then it analyses three typical domestic cases respectively in order to summarize external space environment design method of the elderly residential house under the influence of the environmental psychology. The method is applied to the Elderly Health Garden in Qingyang county and it is verified in the design of environmental construction project planning so as to provide suggestions on relevant elderly residential planning and design. Thus it can improve the life quality of old people, promote the development of the pension in China, and it plays a significant part in the construction of safe, healthy, comfortable, accessible elderly residential exterior space environment. Furthermore, the thesis also has a certain referential significance for the construction of external space environment design theory system for the old residential areas.The research methods used in this thesis include literature research, theoretical analysis, questionnaire investigation, case study and instance validation method.
