and beautiful form.When the audience obtains information on design works,it is not easy to be attracted by static cultural output works that lack deep cultural connotation and lack of design novelty,and information visual design can become a medium carrier for audiences to quickly obtain historical and cultural information,which can well handle the design balance relationship between historical and cultural content and design expression,and summarize and integrate the amount of fragmented information of a large number of words,and transform complex information into design elements such as graphics,text,and charts.On the basis of static visual presentation,multi-sensory experience is integrated as the design foothold,so as to achieve a more intuitive,easy-to-understand and multi-dimensional information circulation mode presented to the audience,and then plays the purpose of protecting and inheriting historical and cultural heritage.The author found that there are certain academic theories as research support for the theme of Yungang grotto patterns,while there are few related studies on the visualization of its pattern information and are in the early stage of development,so the use of information visualization design techniques to express and inherit Yungang grotto patterns is in line with the trend of development of the times and has great research prospects.Relying on the existing research basis of the academic circles on the patterns of the Yungang Grottoes,this paper selects the representative pattern theme categories in the Yungang Grottoes,captures and redesigns the decorative characteristics of the patterns formed in the context of its regional culture,summarizes and sorts out the content of text information,sets the "Yungang color" according to the artistic charm to be conveyed by the information visualization design works,and unifies the design presentation form and aesthetic expression.The research methods were carried out by literature survey method,comparative analysis method and fieldwork method.The research content of this paper will be carried out from the following four major sections:The first part mainly expounds the research background and significance of Yungang Grotto pattern,as well as the research status and development trend of related artistic expressions at home and abroad,sorts out the research objectives and methods,improves the research ideas and forms a framework understanding,and understands the existing problems of Yungang Grotto pattern design.In the second part,through the analysis of the historical context and artistic value of Yungang grotto patterns,the Yungang grotto patterns are determined as the main research objects,their communication status and existing problems are analyzed,the communication advantages of information visualization forms are analyzed,the innovative value of Yungang grotto pattern information visual design research is expounded,and
