| This paper studies the artistic characteristics of Egon Schiele and the certain influence on modern Chinese figure painting in the 20 th century,and discusses the characteristics of Egon Schiele’s figure works through the analysis and comparison of works from the perspective of a painting practitioner,and then gives examples to analyze his influence on modern Chinese figure painting.The first chapter expounds the external reasons for the formation of Schiele’s style by sorting out Egon Schiele’s life experience and art study experience;the second chapter summarizes Schiele’s artistic treatment and philosophy in each of the five aspects of Schiele’s figure works by giving examples of the characteristics from the figure modeling,figure shaping,work color,work composition,and work line;the third chapter discusses the influence of Schiele on modern Chinese figure painting The third chapter discusses Schiele’s influence on modern Chinese figure painting,firstly,it elaborates on the emergence and spread of Expressionism in China,and then analyzes the works of the listed figures in relation to the artistic characteristics summarized in the previous section,and argues the specific influence of Schiele on modern Chinese figure painting.Through the analysis and comparison,Schiele’s artistic characteristics are summarized so that the excellence of his art can be better understood.His artistic achievements are not only due to his own artistic talent,but also due to the various teachers he met on his learning path,all of which had a decisive role in Schiele’s artistic style.The influence of Schiele on Chinese figure painting has also spread to this day,and many artists of the older generation have drawn on Schiele’s artistic characteristics in their journey of painting styles,and have also influenced the artistic aesthetics of contemporary people in a subtle way.All of these will be inspiring for art practitioners and deserve further analysis and study. |
