Kasimir Malevich, the founder of Suprematism, used geometric elements as the main form of expression and fused them with ideas from icon painting, linking the depicted objects to the concept of dynamic balance in the context of technological development and social change, depicting a vision of the future society, emphasizing the "non-figurative world".His geometric elements not only return to their essence aesthetically, but are also given a different meaning in the context of the new era.In particular,Suprematism was grounded in depicting the world of the future, which offered a possibility for Russia at that time.Starting from the causes of Suprematist painting, this paper analyzes the graphics and colors of geometric elements, explores the expressive effects of single geometric figures and combinations of multiple geometric figures in the picture, and discusses the cultural meanings and subjective symbols of the three stages of Suprematism named after colors, further examining the evolution process of painterly thought from Cubism,Futurism to Suprematism. This paper also collects the debate between Malevich Suprematism and Constructivism on geometric elements, while comparing geometric elements with the works of two abstract painters,Mondrian and Kandinsky,to illustrate the unique connotation of Suprematist geometric elements.Through the above-mentioned research,I summarize my thoughts on suprematist geometric elements, and combine them with the graduation creation process to connect theory with practice and apply the research results to the graduation creation.
