| The Ming and Qing dynasties were the peak of the development of illustration art in ancient Chinese periodicals.With the development of printmaking and printing industry in the middle and late Ming Dynasty,the popularity of popular culture and the prevailing ethos of Shiren promoted the production and circulation of illustrated periodicals in the publishing and printing market.As a special visual form,the story images of Shiren in Ming and Qing dynasties refer to the illustration art created based on the story texts of Shiren in song and Qing Dynasties,bearing the development of social trend of thought,aesthetic culture and the ethos of Shiren in Ming and Qing Dynasties.Based on the visual field of image narrative,this paper takes the stories of Shiren in Ming and Qing dynasties as the research object,studies the characteristics of image narrative from the interdisciplinary perspectives of art,literature,history and communication,and reveals the deep mechanism of image narrative of Shirens’ stories.First of all,based on genealogy and thematic theory,the schema pedigree and theme type of the image of the Shiren’s story are studied.The schema pedigree reveals the shape and structure evolution law of the image of the Shiren’s story,including the same page and single page large picture.The images of the Shiren’s story are based on the figures of Su Shi,Ouyang Xiu,Fan Zhongyan,Bao Zheng and even ordinary readers in the song Dynasty,centering on the three theme types of selecting Shiren for imperial examinations,gathering friends and people’s livelihood.Meanwhile,the fusion of mysterious culture further enhances the image narrative effect and aesthetic implication of the Shiren’s story.Secondly,based on the spatial attributes,temporal attributes and intertextuality,the narrative characteristics of the Shiren’s story images are studied.The spatial attribute of the image narration of the Shiren’s story is represented by the construction of point and line to convey emotion,the spatial metaphor of blank space and screen,and the multi-space viewing Angle.The time attribute of the image narration of the Shiren’s story is not only to prolong the aesthetic time by means of the juxtaposing of narrative elements,but also to pursue the continuity of narrative rhythm and the instant narration of dream theme.Intertextuality is the basic feature of the image narration of the stories of Shirens,which is mainly manifested as the intertextuality of contrast between pictures and texts and the space-time construction of simultaneous and simultaneous location.Thirdly,based on the internal logic of forms-contents-mode,the narrative mechanism of the image of the Shiren’s story is revealed,and the reason why the image of the Shiren’s story realizes the narrative is studied from the three aspects of style interpretation,symbol construction and narrative mode.The image narrative of the Shiren’s story not only continues the traditional landscape painting narrative style,but also pursues the trend of cross-media narrative style.The symbol construction is the embodiment of the image narrative content of the story of Shirens.The stagnant and flowing body symbol mechanism and the symbol interpretation space as the context constitute the symbol system,and the image narrative of the story of Shirens is realized through two modes of juxtaposition and fractal.Finally,based on the comparative perspective,the paper studies the image transmission of the stories of Shirens in Ming and Qing dynasties.The visual discourse function of the Shiren’s story image promoted the mutual integration of narrative and communication.The artistic phenomena such as double viewing behavior,space construction,the use of motif and the pursuit of other generations in the story image transmission of Shirens in Qing Dynasty inherited the style of the previous generation.In addition,compared with the previous dynasties,the image transmission of Shirens’ stories in the Qing Dynasty had a change relationship,which was manifested by the tendency of stagnant personage expression,the pursuit of rich and complete communication content,and the sharp decrease in the number of dissemination subject to the cultural high-pressure policy of the Qing Dynasty.Based on this,focusing on the artistic phenomenon of the image narration of the stories of scholars in Ming and Qing Dynasties,this thesis studies the narrative characteristics and mechanism of the images of the stories of scholars in Ming and Qing Dynasties.Through systematic sorting and scientific demonstration,it is concluded that the images of the stories of scholars in Ming and Qing Dynasties are not only narrative media to convey feelings and convey ideas.It is an aesthetic community integrating the spirit of scholars in Ming and Qing dynasties,the artistic value orientation of literati,and the aesthetic diversity of popular literature texts.In addition,the story images of scholars in Ming and Qing dynasties contain the spirit of taking the world as their own responsibility,which has certain enlightenment for inheriting the excellent cultural genes of the Chinese nation and forging the community spirit of the Chinese nation. |
