| We consider that“heritage language”is a native language that bond to family and suggest that “heritage language”can translated into “Jicheng Yu” in Chinese.For“ji”,the language is a heritage which from their ancestors.For “cheng”,it’s hope that the offspring can under the language which has special meaning and value.“Heritage learner” is whom learn heritage language,some factors such as their ethnic and ancestral background as well as self-identification should be considered comprehensively.The process that heritage learner learn and get the heritage language is called heritage language acquisition.Heritage language acquisition includes many aspects.The three main aspects are the process of heritage language learning,the individual factors of the learner,and the language learning environment.We take Thai ethnic Chinese students as our research target,based on the heritage language acquisition theory,to explore the influencing factors in the process of their heritage language acquisition.There are three parts,firstly,overview the developing history of heritage language research and comb related concept.After clarifying the developing situations of Chinese heritage language research,we can find out possibility and feasibility to do this research.Secondly,drawing on and adapting scales with high validity and reliability,we design questionnaire and interview transcript.Based on the findings,we know more about their language-using situation so that we can analyze the influencing factors during their Chinese acquisition.The result shows us that eight factors,including Chinese learning desire,are vitally connected with learners’ Chinese proficiency.What’s more,personal Chinese contact network and family Chinese use have an important influence on their Chinese proficience.Finally,aim at solving the current problems in Thai Chinese education and then mix our research results,we make some suggestions at the social,family and school levels for enhancing their heritage language acquisition.The heritage language research has theoretical and practical implications.Theoretically,for one hand,the research on influencing factors of Thai ethnic Chinese students heritage language acquisition can broaden the horizon and enrich the fruit of domestic heritage language research.For other hand,through this thesis,we can know more about the using and remaining situation of heritage language so that we can give some data support and consolidate the theoretical foundation of heritage language research.Practically,at first we must treat the heritage language as a resource to protect and exploit.Secondly,we can re-acquainted the Chinese education in the view of heritage language acquisition theory and make contribution to Chinese education so that we are able to show our wonderful Chinese culture as well as enhance our country’s overseas cultural soft power with the bridge of ethnic Chinese. |
