A Study Of The Theory Of Material Response In The Literary Theory In The Wei Jin And Six Dynasties

The theory of material response is the earliest and most influential theoretical concept on the occurrence of literary creation in ancient Chinese literary theory,which refers to the process of the subject being sensed by external objects and entering the process of creation,which is a discussion of the occurrence of literary creation and the initiation and motivation of literary thinking.From the Han Dynasty to the Six Dynasties,the theory of material response has been continuously developed and improved.The theory of material response in the literary theory of the Wei Jin and Six Dynasties is rooted in traditional Chinese philosophical thought,supported by rich literary creation experience,and is a local theoretical resource that reflects the characteristics of Chinese literary creation,and the theoretical views and categories in it are the basis for constructing many ideas and concepts of ancient Chinese literary theory.The theory of material response interprets the motivation and process of literary creation from the interaction between mind and object,which promotes the formation of theories such as "Yi Xiang" theory,"Yi Jing" theory and "Jing Jie" theory since the Tang Dynasty,and deeply and systematically discusses the process of formation,expansion and transmutation of the theory of material response,which is conducive to grasping the thinking mode and theoretical characteristics of Chinese literary theory.This paper takes the theory of material response in the literary theory of the Wei Jin and Six Dynasties as the main research object,and through the analysis of the connotation of the theory of material response and the combing of the relevant opinions of literary theorists,this paper first studies the theoretical origin and empirical basis of the theory of material response in the Wei Jin and Six Dynasties,and clarifies the theoretical foundation of the theory of material response theory and the background and conditions for the maturity of the theory of material response in the Wei Jin and Six Dynasties.Secondly,through the study of the theory of material response in "Wenfu","The literary Mind and the Carving Dragon" and "Shi Pin",this paper analyzes the key points and characteristics of each family sense theory and the inheritance and breakthrough points of the views of predecessors,and on this basis,the process of formation,expansion and transmutation of the theory of "response of things" is discussed in depth and systematically.Thirdly,by comparing the theory of material response in the Wei Jin and Six Dynasties with the theory of "divine gift","genius" and "inspiration" theory of Western literary and artistic creation,and then comparing it with the theory of "imitation" of Western art essentialism,the theory of "empathy" and the theory of "heterogeneous isomorphism" in psychological aesthetics,we will go deep into the dimension of literary thinking mode to explore the theoretical characteristics of Chinese and Western literary theory thinking about the relationship between mind and matter,and grasp the epistemological basis of thinking about the relationship between mind and matter in different paths.Finally,expanding the research horizon to a macroscopic understanding and grasping the evolution of the theory of material perception in the six dynasties of Wei and Jin dynasties will not only help to grasp the theoretical characteristics of ancient Chinese literary creation,but also help to perceive and understand the law of the occurrence and development of ancient Chinese literary theory as a whole,which is beneficial for us to learn from and absorb the beneficial components of foreign literary theory,inherit and develop ancient Chinese literary theory in the era of globalization,and construct a contemporary Marxist literary theory system with national characteristics.
