| The writing ability of students in different classes is specifically required in The English Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education(2022 Edition).And students from grades 7 to 9 are required to use different sentence structures and tenses so as to describe and introduce people,things or events around them and express emotions,attitudes,opinions and intentions according to the learning stages objectives.Therefore,they can form basic writing skills.However,writing is a difficult part for English learners in the basic stage.Students at this stage have less vocabulary and weak comprehensive language application ability,and most of them are prone to fear and be anxiety about writing in English.In order to try to change this situation,this study is devoted to verifying the role of Production-oriented Approach in junior middle school English writing teaching.It aims to answer the following questions:(1)How does the application of Production-oriented Approach in junior middle school English writing teaching influence students’ English writing scores?(2)What’s the impact of Production-oriented Approach on students’ attitude towards English writing when it is applied to junior middle school English writing teaching?Based on the Production-oriented Approach,the teaching experiment is conducted with two parallel classes in a middle school in Fuping County,Weinan City,and the experiment lasts for one semester.Before the experiment,independent sample T test is conducted on the English writing scores of the two classes in the first monthly exam.After comparative analysis,it is found that the learning level of the two classes was similar(Sig.=0.903>0.05),so the experiment could be carried out.During the experiment stage,the change of students’ writing ability is tested by analyzing their writing scores in four tests.After the experiment,a questionnaire survey is used on students in the experimental class to test their attitude towards English writing learning in junior middle school based on Production-oriented Approach.Furthermore,interview is conducted with students at different learning levels in the experimental class to further test students’ attitudes towards English writing under this teaching model.Through the analysis of the results of four tests,questionnaires and interviews,the following research results are obtained:(1)After the teaching experiment,it can be concluded that the scores of the experimental class are higher than those of the control class,and the scores of the experimental class are significantly higher and higher.(2)Students are more satisfied with the overall teaching effect of the Production-oriented Approach,and students hold a more positive attitude towards writing learning under this teaching model.Therefore,the conclusion of this research shows that students’ English writing can be promoted under the teaching mode of junior middle school English writing based on Production-oriented Approach. |
