The National Chinese Youth Online Classic Chinese course is a course offered in response to the requirements of the All-American Chinese Youth Association for Chinese American teenagers to study and recite some Works of Chinese Sinology.It starts from both language and culture aspects,helping Chinese-American young students to feel the charm of Chinese language and Chinese culture,and experience the fun of learning Chinese cultural Classics.The teaching content of the course includes three parts: Chinese knowledge,Chinese character recognition and idiom explanation.Chinese knowledge includes Chinese character recognition,idiom explanation,etc.,cultural common sense includes idiomatic stories,celebrity allusions,traditional Chinese Confucianism,etc.,and classical recitation is to recite the classic texts and ancient poems(such as "Analects(Excerpts)","Bamboo in the Rock",etc.)learned accurately,fluently and emotionally on the basis of understanding.Relying on the ZOOM online teaching platform,the online classic Chinese courses use a variety of teaching methods and vivid and interesting teaching methods,such as watching classic animations and videos,illustrating classics,telling you and classic stories,etc.,so that Chinese teenagers can experience the cultural spirit contained in these classic works in a relaxed atmosphere,and inspire students to connect with the reality of life,understand and feel the influence of Traditional Chinese culture on future generations.This paper combines the teaching practice of the online classic Chinese course for Chinese teenagers in the United States,based on the action research method,reviews and studies the specific teaching process,reflects on the shortcomings in the teaching process,and adjusts and improves the curriculum in a timely manner,and puts forward some practical and effective suggestions for the future opening of online classic Chinese courses for Chinese Americans.The article is mainly divided into three parts:The first part is to carry out the first round of teaching action research on the online classic Chinese courses of Chinese American teenagers on the basis of clarifying the research objects,research contents and research methods of this paper.In the first round of action research,teachers first analyzed the relevant situation of young Chinese students and determined the topics of Sinology that were suitable for their study.Secondly,in the teaching process,the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language is combined with the "four readings" mode of ancient poetry in primary and secondary schools,forming a "four readings" teaching mode of classic Chinese curriculum,and teaching is carried out in this mode.Finally,through classroom observation and feedback from students’ parents,we understand the problems existing in the first round of action,reflect and adjust on the teaching.The second part is the second round of teaching action research on the online classic Chinese course for Chinese American teenagers.Based on the reflection results of the first round of action research,starting from the problem orientation,it improves teaching from several aspects such as strengthening interaction,improving appreciation and reading ability,innovating homework forms,and improving teacher language,and after improving teaching,it reflects on the shortcomings in the current round of teaching process.The content of the third part is to combine the implementation of the first two rounds of actions,summarize the experience and lessons of online classic Chinese course teaching,select targeted from the classics of traditional Chinese studies,carry out diversified activities to stimulate students’ interest in learning,and excavate cultural resources in traditional Chinese classics to put forward teaching suggestions in several aspects,in order to provide some reference for the future teaching of online classic Chinese course teaching.
