The Research Of Xu Nianci’s “New Academic Terms”

Since the late Qing Dynasty,with the expansion of the tide of the spread of Western learning to the East,in terms of literary theory,Western literary theory began to have an impact on Chinese literary and artistic circles.In the face of the precise and meticulous theoretical system of Western literary theory and the "chaotic" state of Chinese literary theory,scholars have been trying to define the original concept of Chinese literary theory by translating and creating new concepts,that is,the so-called "new academic terms".These concepts have established the basic form of the modern form of the discipline of the history of Chinese literary criticism,so it is necessary to carry out a systematic study of "new academic terms" under the background of emphasizing the construction of the discourse system of Chinese literary theory and adhering to the principles of "seeking the source along the wave" and "expressing the end in the original way".Xu Nianci and his contemporaries absorbed and introduced a large number of western academic concepts,which played an important role in the use and dissemination of "new academic terms".Xu Nianci introduced and introduced many new terms,such as "aesthetics","society","concrete ideal","idealization" and "image".The pleasure of beauty,form,genre and value.Although these words intersect with the terms used by others,they undoubtedly further enrich his discourse system of literary theory.In particular,the word "aesthetic" was probably the first one used at that time.However,there is little research on the induction,collation and use of Xu Nianci’s "new academic terms" in the academic circles.To sum up,the study of "new academic terms" is the proper meaning of the subject construction of Chinese literary theory,and Xu Nianci’s "new academic terms" is an important part of exploring the transformation of literary theory.Therefore,through the study of the "new academic terms" used by Xu Nianci and the aesthetic values advocated by him,this paper clarifies the situation of Xu Nianci’s emergence and use of "new academic terms" in the field of novel theory.The academic circles should pay more attention to the study of "new academic terms",strengthen the excavation and collation of "new academic terms" of Chinese literary theory,and provide etymological support for the construction of Chinese literary theory.The paper consists of five parts.The first part is the introduction,which mainly discusses the basic connotation of "new academic terms",the basic situation of the introduction of new learning language in Chinese academic circles,and the research value of Xu Nianci’s "new academic terms",and clarifies the necessity and importance of Xu Nianci’s "new academic terms" research.The first chapter illustrates the formation,origin and use of Xu Nianci’s "new academic terms" from the perspective of his own experience and the background of the times.The second chapter selects "society","form" and "image" to discuss their changes in the context of Chinese culture and Western culture,as well as Xu Nianci’s rich concept of his literary theory.The third chapter discusses the influence and positive significance of Xu Nianci’s "new academic terms".The last part is the conclusion,which focuses on the research significance of Xu Nianci’s "new academic terms" and the research results of this paper.
