| The youth stage is an important stage in everyone’s growth,and youth also have the burden of inheriting and promoting the culture of society,so it is important to guide youth to participate in cultural construction.Youth documentaries play their role as cultural signposts,presenting different youth stories to audiences artistically through ritualized constructs.While satisfying the audience’s entertainment needs,it also builds the audience’s collective memory through youth stories and infects them with cultural values.In this context,the author adopts the literature research method and case study method,takes the communication ritual concept proposed by James W.Carey as the theoretical basis,takes domestic youth documentaries as the research text,and combines the author’s graduation work "The Power of Youth" to conduct a more in-depth study on the ritual construction of youth documentaries.This thesis contains five parts: the first part is the introduction,which explains the background,significance,current situation,methodology and innovation of the article;the second part outlines the definition and development history of youth documentaries,the theoretical sources and core concepts of the ritual view of communication,and analyzes the ritual construction of youth documentaries from the perspective of the ritual view of communication in two parts: the textual interpretation of the film content and the ritual construction of electronic media;the third part takes the ritual view of communication as the theoretical basis and analyzes the rationality of youth documentary creation.The third part takes the ritual view of communication as the theoretical base,and uses the documentaries "Bang! Teenager","Little Teenager" and other youth documentaries as samples,and explains the representational connotation of ritual elements in youth documentaries from three parts: temporal and spatial construction,symbolic presentation and interactive behavior of subjects;the fourth part studies the cultural functions behind the ritual construction of youth documentaries,and concludes that youth documentaries achieve the cultural values of awakening collective memory,strengthening cultural identity and spreading youth spirit through constructing rituals.In the fifth part,under the guidance of the previous theoretical research,the author explains the ritualized representation and value construction of the graduation work "The Power of Youth".In the fifth part,the author provides more ideas for the theoretical research and creative practice of youth documentaries.This paper takes the theories related to the ritual view of communication as the research perspective,takes a sample documentary as the research object,and analyzes the ritual construction in the youth documentary,in order to fill the shortage of using the theories related to the ritual view of communication to study the youth documentary,and provides a more diversified and younger example argument for the localization of James W.Carey’s theory of the ritual view of communication in China,and also provides a reference value for the communication and practice of the youth documentary nowadays.It also provides a certain reference value for the dissemination and practice of youth documentaries today. |
