As a leader of the Russian avant-garde,Kazimir Malevich is the founder and core representative of “suprematism” in western modernist art.Studying his artistic notion and painting has been holding my interest, which also prompts me to trace, probe and unveil the status quo of the art in which the modernistic art movement features the integration of notions and uniqueness.By clarifying and interpreting the painting art of supremacism, this paper attempts to adopt a fresh perspective regarding Malevich’s thoughts, feelings,as well as his artistic notion behind his paintings. On that basis, this paper refers to the change of aesthetic notions induced by the “supremacist spirit”,and further explores the phenomenon of the interaction between Western aesthetics and Eastern aesthetics from a holistic view. Moreover, this paper also explores and interprets the cultural phenomenon and features of contemporary painting art,so as to blend personal artistic thoughts and practices into the further exploration of Eastern art. This paper first presents the historical and realistic value of Malevich’s paintings, sheds light on the spiritual realm which involves promoting “objectivity” of paintings to “purity”,interprets the supremacist painting spirit from the angle of Eastern “Zen”,and explores approaches to Eastern cultural psychology and personal thought.Besides,I seek to get a deeper insight into the artistic value of “spiritual Vipassana” by means of my own painting effort, and establish my own painting notion,in an effort to lay a more solid ideological basis for exploring new directions for artistic creation…Secondly, when it comes to appreciating visual art, this paper also attempts to address “What is this by nature?”,and more important “spiritual experience” as the core point of view, and conducts aesthetic analysis and spiritual thought on“supremacist spirit”.Despite the uniqueness of the development and exploration of human art in each era, they share many common goals and value orientations.By probing into Malevich’s theory of suprematism and paintings. Finally,I also hope to view his ontological existence notion from an Eastern perspective, namely establishing my own artistic concept as a practitioner, keeping on study and exploration, and gaining deeper spiritual strength.
