| This paper conducted a two-round action research on classroom interaction with students of an intermediate class in the Live Summer Chinese School Summer Camp Program for British Students in 2021.In the pre-testing phase,the author found four problems in the classroom: a high proportion of teacher speech,disorderly classroom,dull classroom atmosphere,and difficult lessons.In the first round,the author made targeted adjustments in teaching aids,teaching sessions,and teacher language,and analyzed the data obtained by combining the improved Flanders Interaction Analysis System with the actual teaching effects,concluding that the student speech ratio had improved significantly,students’ motivation to speak had improved,the overall classroom atmosphere had shifted from dull to positive and cordial,and classroom interaction had improved.However,the first round of action also revealed some problems in classroom interaction: 1.the teacher’s questioning ratio was too low,and students were still in a passive state of receiving knowledge;2.it was difficult to balance the difficulty and interest of the course;3.there was a single way of classroom interaction;4.the teacher’s encouraging words were thin and formal.In response to the above problems,the author adopted the following methods in the second round of action research: 1)reasonable distribution of teaching difficulties;2)adoption of "internal and external" teaching methods;3)streamlining teachers’ language and enriching questioning angles;4)increasing the forms of interaction.The results of the second round of action showed that the above improvement measures were effective: the difficulty of the course was appropriately controlled,the proportion of open-ended questions increased,and the targeting of teachers’ feedback also promoted students’ awareness of participation and active learning.After the above two rounds of action research,the author discusses the problems surrounding this live classroom interaction in light of the research results: in the preparation stage of the project,the project organizer can reduce the difference in the level of students in the same class by enriching the means of student classification and refining the classification criteria to ensure the quality of subsequent teaching and classroom interaction;teachers should also understand students from multiple angles before the course and close the relationship between teachers and students to provide a good classroom The teacher should also get to know the students from multiple perspectives before the course,so as to build a good foundation for a good classroom atmosphere and student-teacher interaction.In the course,teachers can also teach in different modes according to students’ levels,reasonably allocate teaching difficulties and refine cultural teaching;enrich the forms of teacher-student interaction,make full use of drawing,physical demonstration and other means to stimulate students’ interest and learning activity,in order to achieve better classroom interaction. |
