"White Deer Plain": A Study On The Transformation Of Aesthetic Expression In Novels And Drama

Both in China and in the West,fiction and theater have a close relationship,and many excellent films and theater works are derived from literary works.In the development of human interaction,the artistic transformation and dissemination of literary works has become an important phenomenon in the cultural development of today’s society.The novel "White Deer Plain" is a classic work in the history of modern Chinese literature.No matter which adaptation is made,it is a secondary creation of the work "White Deer Plain" made in a different historical context.This paper takes the original work of Chen’s novel and the Shaanxi People’s Art Theater version of the play as the main research objects,and takes the aesthetic expression of the novel White Deer Plain and the Shaanxi People’s Art Theater version(Shaanxi Ren Yi)of the play White Deer Plain as the entry point,and explores them from three perspectives of cultural symbols,narrative strategies,and linguistic meanings through comparative studies.By examining the creative process of the transformation from novel to drama,and summarizing the aesthetic and cultural values of the transformation from novel to drama,we reveal the values and laws related to the artistic transformation between novel and drama,so as to add a different aesthetic perspective to the artistic re-creation of contemporary novel texts,which also provides a good perspective and example for understanding the aesthetic connotation of modern novels.This also provides a good research perspective and example for understanding the aesthetic connotation of modern novels.This paper uses the research methods of literature research,textual scrutiny,comparative study,and video observation of performances,and aims to explore the value and significance of the study of the shift in aesthetic expression from the novel White Deer Plain to the Shaanxi Ren Yi version of the play by collecting relevant information on the adaptation of the novel White Deer Plain and the Shaanxi Ren Yi version of the play.The thesis consists of five chapters: Chapter 1 analyzes the conditional factors of the adaptation of the novel "White Deer Plain" to drama,Chapter 2 provides an in-depth analysis of the transformation of cultural symbols in the aesthetic expression of the novel "White Deer Plain" to drama,Chapter 3 studies the transformation of narrative strategies in the aesthetic expression of the novel "White Deer Plain" to drama,Chapter 4 studies the transformation of linguistic meanings in the aesthetic expression of the novel "White Deer Plain" to drama,and Chapter 5 examines the transformation of linguistic meanings in the aesthetic expression of the novel "White Deer Plain" to drama by On the basis of analyzing its specific aesthetic expression transformation in these three aspects,Chapter 5 studies and analyzes the transformation of the literary classic "White Deer Plain" and the Shaanxi Ren Yi version of the play,and summarizes its aesthetic and cultural values.
