Sergei Vassilievitch Rachmaninoff(1873.04.01-1943.03.28)was an outstanding pianist,conductor and composer.He was born in Russia and graduated from the Moscow Conservatory of Music.He was one of the most brilliant composers of late romantic socialism and brought great musical influence to the world.With his dramatic composing style,he was one of the most brilliant classical pianists of the20 th century and is regarded as the forerunner of the Russian romantic tradition.While drawing on the styles of other creative schools,Rachmaninoff’s music style also retains his original unique style,mainly inheriting the tradition of romantic music.In his works,there are not only magnificent and colorful musical color creation,but also soft and long melodies that make people fascinated by his music works.Through the study and performance of Sonata Op.19 for Cello and Pianoing Minor(viola adaptation),the author deeply discusses the style and playing techniques of Rachmaninoff’s works,and finds its unique artistic value.
