This paper studies the phenomenon of "imagery of allusions" appearing in the poem.Using allusions is one of the most important techniques in poetry creation.Poetry creation has a process of gradual development and maturity. As a creative technique, using allusion has also experienced a process from unconscious to consciousness, from "form a patchwork quit" to "making the allusion without trace".This paper examines the imagery phenomenon of allusions in the vertical development of poetry and explores the origin;to illustrate the specific presentation of this phenomenon in Tang poetry. It is divided into four parts. The introduction section first explains the research status, research value and purpose of this problem, and also summarizes the origin and evolution of the concepts of "allusion".On this basis, the phenomenon of "imagery of allusion" is summarized."Imagery of allusions" is a special phenomenon of using allusions, which is a great progress in the Tang Dynasty after continuous exploration by poets.Specifically, refers to the allusion have independenct sense and beauty of image in the poem after the poet refining and processing. It looks like a picture scene. In fact, there are some allusions hidden or melted in the scenery description. This technique really reached the later poets most praised "using allusions without trace".The first chapter mainly combs the characteristics and evolution of pre-Tang poetry. The germination of using allusions can be traced back to the pre-Qin period, and the poems of Han and Wei were mostly " quote rather than use",presenting the early form of using allusions.During the Southern and Northern Dynasties, there were new changes in using allusions.Yan Yanzhi was the first poet famous for a lot of allusions are used in his works. He began to process, refine and concentrate the illusions.Xie Lingyun is good at using the verses in the Book of Songs and Chu Ci in Shan-shui poems, which is integrated with his poems, initially showing the signs of imagization of the language allusion. The innovation of Yu Xin’s works is highlighting the image of the allusions, and his works and poems reflect the signs of the imagery of the matter allusion. The second chapter discusses the specific presentation of this phenomenon in Tang poetry, which is divided into two categories: imagery of language illusions and imagery of matter allusion.Firstly, the similar phenomenon of using allusions is analyzed to make the scope of the discussion more clear.Secondly, cite a number of poets,a variety of themes and forms of typical poetry examples for analysis and interpretation. The imagerized language allusion itself has a certain particularity. In most cases, this kind of language code describes the scenery,so when applied to the poem,it is easy to show the effect of combining allusions and real scenes. The imagery of event allusion is more difficult. The "events" of the allusions includes time, place, characters, causes, process and results, which the poet summarizes as a key word that can reflect the characteristics of the allusions and mark the main connotation of allusions. At the same time, the deeds of the ancients are hidden in the scene, showing a very superb level of using allusion. The third chapter discusses the reason and significance of "imagery of allusions".The poet’s pursuit of "using allusions" and "using allusions but not making readers notice",the elucidator’s excavation of allisians, and the objective possibilities provided by the diversity of allisions, jointly promote the emergence of this phenomenon. The meaning of "imagery of allusions" is mainly reflected in two aspects.First of all,"ueing allusions without trace" is the highest pursuit of the ancients. This technique integrates allusions into the scene, which truly achieves the effect of "no trace".Secondly,it makes the poem contain more rich content and implication, and also provides readers with a variety of interpretation ways,so that they can experience the aesthetic pleasure brought by the multi-level of the text in reading.
