This thesis is about the auxiliary verbs of Luobozhai vernacular of Qiang Language,which belong to Tibeto-Burman Group of Sino-Tibetan Family and spoken in Yanmen,Wenchuan County,Aba Tibetan and Qiang AutoNMLous Prefecture,Sichuan Province.Most of the auxiliary verbs in Luobozhai vernacular have the functions of Full Verbs,and they are phonetically identical and semantically related.Formally,auxiliary verbs in Luobozhai vernacular generally follow the full verb and cannot be used alone;functionally,auxiliary verbs in Luobozhai vernacular carry the grammatical categories related to the full verb,mainly involving the two categories of Aspect and Modality.This thesis falls into five chapters,and the main contents of each chapter are described as follows.Chapter 1 introduces the object of the study,outlines the basic situation of Luobozhai vernacular,reviews the current situation of the study,and introduces the research method,the sources of the corpus and the research value of the study.Chapter 2 is an overview of the auxiliary verbs of Luobozhai vernacular.According to the definition,13 auxiliary verbs in Luobozhai vernacular are mainly listed,and the difference and connection of full verbs,light verbs and auxiliary verbs are given..Chapter 3 is the auxiliary verbs used to express the Aspect category in the Luobozhai vernacular.There are six auxiliary verbs used to express the Aspect category,which are pu31,pe31,je31,ma31,t(?)e31,and qa31.Through these auxiliary verbs,a total of five types of Aspect categories can be expressed,such as perfective aspect,the change of state aspect,experiential,prospective aspect,habitual aspect and completive aspect.Chapter 4 is about the auxiliary verbs used to express the Modality categories in the Luobozhai vernacular.There are seven auxiliary verbs used to express modality,which are t(?)he31 "need,should",qa31 "can",(?)?3 5 "will",(?)u31" willing",(?)ou55 "dare",χua55 sua55 "want,be willing",(?)a31tau35 "may".According to the semantic features of their expressions,they can be divided into three main categories:dynamic modality,deontic modality,and epistemic modality.There is an increasingly strong subjective hierarchy from dynamic modality auxiliary verbs→deontic modality auxiliary verbs→epistemic modality auxiliary verbs.Chapter 5 is the grammaticalized sources of auxiliary verbs in Luobozhai vernacular.There are four grammaticalization paths,pu31"do">auxiliary verb used to express the Aspect category;qa31 "complete">completive aspect;tche31 "need">deontic modality auxiliary verb>epistemic modality auxiliary verb;modal auxiliary verb qa3 1 "can">dynamic modality auxiliary verb>deontic modality auxiliary verb.
