In the teaching process of international Chinese education,vocabulary teaching is the most basic link.There are many words with the same morpheme and similar structure in Chinese.Proper use of these words can enhance the expressiveness of language.This is synonym.However,because of the similar form and meaning of synonyms,non-native Chinese learners are easy to be confused and misused.Therefore,it is necessary to study it carefully.The teaching and learning of synonyms is to a large extent centered on the teaching materials,but the study of synonyms in the international Chinese teaching materials is still weak.Road to Success is one of the most widely used international Chinese textbooks,but there is little research on the discrimination of synonyms.With the deepening of the learning process,the Chinese learners will come into contact with a large number of synonyms after the intermediate stage.Therefore,this paper focuses on the study of synonym discrimination in the intermediate comprehensive Chinese textbooks,hoping to provide new ideas for international Chinese teaching.In the second chapter,the author makes a statistical analysis of the synonyms included in the textbook with reference to the Syllabus of Chinese Proficiency Vocabulary and Chinese Characters and the International Standard for Chinese Education Chinese Proficiency Proficiency Level,and points out its shortcomings.In the last chapter,according to the author’s research and analysis of synonyms in the textbook,the author puts forward corresponding compilation and teaching suggestions from five aspects: from the point of view of collection of synonyms,the author should choose according to the latest Lexical Level as the standard,followed by the principle of errability and practicality;from the point of view of stylistic style of synonyms,attention should be paid to the correct annotation of synonyms containing polysyllabic words,and the synonyms should be annotated in the table of new words,and the English annotations can be appropriately added;from the point of view of discrimination and analysis of synonyms,the author believes that the perspective should be diversified,the discrimination and analysis of synonyms should be practical,and the dialectical language should be simplified;from the point of view of selection of synonyms,the typical type should be possessed,and the chosen field should be more abundant,and the complete contextual information should be provided;from the perspective of practice of synonyms,the author should put forward a variety of exercises,the exercises should be moderate after class,and the exercises should be increased finally to consolidate the learning results in class.
