Happiness And Realization From The Perspective Of Virtue Ethics

The change in the needs of the people in the new era from "material and cultural needs" to "needs for a better life" reflects that the happy life in the new era has deeper connotation and broader extension.How to understand happiness,how to achieve happiness,is the new era needs to think deeply and explore the theme.Understanding happiness from the perspective of virtue ethics can provide a new way to explore the realization of happiness.Because of the bias of rule ethics and the lack of moral psychology,the revival of virtue ethics presents three main schools: neo-Aristotelian virtue ethics,emotionalism virtue ethics and pluralist virtue ethics.The three schools all recognize the basic status of the concept of virtue and give different interpretations of the connotation of virtue and happiness.But returning to the Aristotelian context of thinking about happiness provides a more realistic guide for exploring the virtue of the realization of happiness.To explore happiness from the perspective of virtue ethics presupposes virtue as the major premise for the realization of happiness.Therefore,the connotation of virtue and the connotation of happiness are related to the solution of the relationship between virtue and happiness.Virtue is a kind of inner quality that makes appropriate response to specific situation,and enables the actor to generate moral motivation,moral emotion and moral will.It is also a kind of character advantage that helps the individual to pursue a happy life.Happiness is the positive psychological experience that individuals need to be satisfied in the process of pursuing the meaning of life and realizing themselves.On the one hand,there is the confusion of the contradiction between virtues and virtues.In real life,a person who has virtues may not be happy,and a happy person may not have virtues.On the other hand,it is the confusion of the consistency of the ideal of the realization of the consistency of the Defoe.However,we cannot deny the importance of virtue to happiness.Virtue is the logical starting point of happiness.The pursuit history of happiness is accompanied by the evolution history of virtue.The path of virtue to realize happiness can be based on the character education of virtue ethics,starting from two aspects: the cultivation of individual character,including the cultivation of the concept of happiness,the cultivation of practical wisdom,the cultivation of habits,the exploitation of character advantages and the standardization and shaping of the community on character education.We can also start from positive psychology to construct a happiness model to cultivate individual qualities and virtues.
