In recent years,our country has issued a series of guidance documents on encouraging the development of general aviation.General aviation has been listed as a national strategic emerging industry and ushered in a rare historical opportunity.As the goal of high-quality development,the smart general aviation industry has also made a series of remarkable achievements.The development prospects of Smart General Aviation at home and abroad are also getting broader and broader.Therefore,the translator selects Smart General Aviation(excerpt)co-authored by Huang Tao,Wang Yongjun and Xu Zhihao as the translation material,which focuses on the general aviation of the information society,expounds the basic theory of smart general aviation,the construction of infrastructure technology system and technology products,the industry application and development suggestions of smart general aviation.This paper takes the fourth chapter of Smart General Aviation as the source text of the translation practice report,and adopts Newmark’s communicative translation theory as the guidance,and analyzes the difficulties and solutions encountered in the translation process from three levels: vocabulary,sentence and text.In the lexical level,the translator uses the translation method of conversion and addition to process the vocabulary,so that the translated text is more in line with the language expression habits of the target readers.In the syntactic level,there are many long and difficult sentences and complex sentences.The translator divides and reorganizes the long and difficult sentences by the translation method of division and adjustment of sentence order,which increases the readability of the translated text.In the textual level,the text is highly specialized and slightly difficult to understand.In response to this problem,the translator adopts the translation method of adding connections and sequential translation,so as to make the text more coherent and fluent.The paper consists of four parts.The first part mainly introduces the background and sources of the translation task.The second part outlines the translation process from three parts: pre-translation,while-translation and post-translation.The third part is the case study,which is also the main part of the translation practice report.Based on Newmark’s communicative translation theory,the translator analyzes the translation methods commonly used in this translation practice from the three levels of vocabulary,sentence and text.The fourth part mainly summarizes the gains and shortcomings of the translator throughout the translation process.In view of these deficiencies,the translator gives suggestions for improvement.This is to provide some valuable reference and reference for translators engaged in the field of aviation science and technology,contribute to the exchange and cooperation in the field of general aviation between China and foreign countries,and promote the high-quality development of smart general aviation between China and foreign countries.
