A Report On The Translation Of A Civil Aviation Technical Text Based On The Principle Of ‘ “Accuracy,Conciseness And Standardization” ’

The repeated rebound of the global pandemic has had a great impact on the global aviation industry.Network Management Directorate(NMD)has released the European Network Operation Plan(NOP)-Rolling Seasonal Plan to provide the forecast of air traffic flow and capacity for European aviation during the COVID-19 period to facilitate safe and efficient planning of Air Navigation Service Providers(ANSPs)and airports to match traffic demand.This is a translation practice report of the European Network Operation Plan(NOP)-2020 Recovery Plan(excerpt).The translator finishes the English translation of the source text based on the guidance of the three principles of civil aviation English translation and writes this report.This translation practice report can be divided into five parts.The first part is the introduction,including the background information of the translation task and description of the source text.The second part is the theoretical basis,the translator explains the three principles of civil aviation English translation and learns from the researches on the translation of civil aviation English texts in this part.The third part is the translation process,including the description of the phases of pre-translation,translation implementation and post-translation.The fourth part is the case study,the translator analyzes typical cases from the lexical,syntactic and textual level.The fifth part is the conclusion,the translator summarizes the gains and weak points of this translation practice.The translator hopes that this translation practice report can provide references for the civil aviation English translation practice and translation research in the future.
