Composition Characteristics And Performance Analysis Of The Erhu Song "Peach Blossom Dock"

"Peach Blossom Dock" is an Erhu work created by composer Mr.Li Yuanqing in 2019.This work integrates widespread popular music materials in Suzhou,such as Pingtan music and Jiangnan folk songs.The work uses modern composing techniques to present traditional music,depicting and restoring the local customs and traditions of Suzhou.The work is concise in length and fresh in style,and has distinctive characteristics of folk art.This thesis investigates the characteristics in composing and performing "Peach Blossom Dock".It starts from the composing background,combined with relevant content to analyze the Suzhou Pingtan elements used in the works,as well as the absorption of Suzhou Pingtan in terms of Erhu perform skills and effects.Finally,the thesis discusses how the composer has rationally shaped this work on the above basis.
