Children’s literature is an important part in the field of literature.The 1920s was the period of the emergence of modern Chinese children’s literature.The pioneer of the enlightenment set his eyes on the initial stage of human individual life-children in the era of "human discovery".At this time,the creation of children’s literature is not only the product of the enlightenment thought,but also the important task of enlightenment.From the perspective of "enlightenment",this paper gives an overall consideration to the theoretical concepts and creative practices of children’s literature in the 1920s,and then leads to the thinking of the interwoven and contradictory between the enlightenment rationality and children’s interest in children’s literature.This paper analyzes and studies this topic from five aspects:First,take enlightenment as the starting point to explore the generative context of modern children’s literature.Horizontally,children’s literature has experienced the import and influence from the West to China.The enlightenment of the western world thought and the discovery of children brought the beginning of the era.The initial stage of children’s literature in China began with the introduction and translation of a large number of western children’s literature works;Vertically,the enlightenment of "people" in the late Qing Dynasty,which took "children" as the foundation of the country,opened the discovery and thinking of children’s problems in China,and further developed into the enlightenment of "people" in the independent sense during the May 4th Movement,which injected new quality into children’s problems.At this time,with the 1920s as the time node,and with the joint efforts of the pioneers of new literature,a new chapter of children’s literature in China was opened.Second,the development of children’s literature in China has the characteristics of theory first and creation lagging behind.The study of children’s literature should start with the concept of literature.Taking "child-oriented" as the mainstream thought of children’s view in this period,we will find that the construction of children’s subjective consciousness and the life enlightenment and social enlightenment of children under the enlightenment of love are carried out at the same time,which is a change and update in the dual context.The relationship between "integration" and "separation" is always intertwined.There are heterogeneous things in the integration,and in the separation,there is a trend of integration,This kind of construction of children’s subjectivity rooted in social life integrates the dual construction of national subject and children’s subject,making the spiritual orientation of modern children’s literature,as an exotic,more close to China’s society,history and real life.Third,in the concrete creation,it presents the same characteristics as the literary concept-the coexistence of enlightenment rationality and children’s interest.Children’s novels focus on the children’s realistic enlightenment of "for life",and present a dual growth theme between going to society and pursuing self;Fairy tales contain the tangle of childlike imagination and enlightenment discourse,which not only breaks the conventional concept of fairy tales,but also adds localization color to them;Children’s prose shows the interweaving of children’s discourse and adult discourse,and presents the dual pursuit of "childlike" and "for children".In the specific cultural context of the times,children’s literature has been further explored in its genre,content,theme and art,and has become a bright color in the garden of modern new literature.Fourth,the ideological enlightenment aroused the literary revolution.In the 1920s,children’s literature sought to "sink down",describe the reality and reflect on the reality.The realistic pursuit formed by it was not only the mainstream of children’s literature creation at that time,but also laid the foundation for the creation of Chinese children’s literature in the 20th century.In addition,the language change of the modern vernacular movement provides an important opportunity for the ideological change.The simple and straightforward language tools make children’s literature close to the main body of children in language form.Therefore,the vernacular and the modern children’s concept of "children’s standard" constitute the dual track of the modernization of Chinese children’s literature.In the specific text,influenced by the "duality" mentioned above,it also presents two dimensions of "literariness" and "childishness".Fifthly,on the basis of the previous article,we will review and prospect the children’s literature in the 1920s from a dialectical perspective.First of all,it affirms its value-the confirmation of the value of modern children’s literature and the diversification of creation,as well as the shaping of the nationalized style of Chinese children’s literature.And further explore the inner enlightenment dilemma of children’s literature,in which the deviation of "adult standard" from "child standard" and the literary tradition of "carrying Tao" lead to its "education" and "utilitarianism",and show its tortuous process from negating "carrying Tao" to new "carrying Tao".The special era background determines that the discovery of children in the adult world is not achieved overnight.The discovery of children by the enlightenment prophets has gone through the process from political identification to ontological identification,and has developed into the 1920s.The horizontal reference,vertical inheritance,and new era factors have led to the birth of new children’s literature,which makes up for the singularity of the adult perspective as a social,cultural,and historical perspective,It brings new breath to the artistic expression and conceptual temperament of modern literature.The children’s perspective,image and spirit under children’s literature expand the connotation and expressiveness of modern literature,not only extending the boundary of literature,but also improving the literary character.
