On The Images Of Female Revolutionaries In The Novels Of The Late Qing Dynasty(1902-1911)

The late Qing Dynasty was a time when China and the West collided,the ancient and the modern changed.The emergence of "the National Mother" and "the National Woman" provided a legal way for women to enter the society,which made it possible for women to participate in the national revolution.It became an important phenomena in the social and revolutionary circles in the decade.In literary works,the literati of the late Qing Dynasty took the images and deeds of Eastern and Western female heroes,combined with the discourse of women’s rights and revolution,so that the image of female revolutionary could be imagined and written.The images of female revolutionaries had the figure of the female Nihilist in Russia,which was the literary presentation of the revolution.They wrote Qiu Jin’s revolutionary stories in the wave of Qiu Jin’s literary image creation.They witnessed the Wuchang Uprising,generating new revolutionary values,etc.In the process of writing a variety of image types,the imaginative ways of literati of different stages and identities generated a rich space for interpretation.Based on the analyses of the images of female revolutionaries in the novels of the late Qing Dynasty,this paper focuses on the interpretation of literary images such as Qiu Jin.Through text analyses,this paper sorts out the imagination and writing of the images of female revolutionaries in the late Qing Dynasty by the literati,focuses on the gender characteristic and cultural metaphor in the image writing of female revolutionaries,and explores the unique value of "woman" in the images of female revolutionaries and literati in the late Qing Dynasty.The main body of this paper includes: the first chapter which is "the Emergence of female revolutionaries and their literary images",returns to the historical scene of the late Qing Dynasty,focuses on the emergence of female revolutionaries in the social trend of thought and public opinion,and sorts out their development process and types;The second chapter which is "Imagination and writing of the image of the female revolutionary",focuses on the female leaders of the party and Qiu Jin’s revolutionary story,explores the rich imagination resources brought by the Nihilistic Party of Russia,the revolutionary party of the late Qing Dynasty represented by the Liberation Party,Qiu Jin’s death,etc.The third chapter which is "Gender characteristic and cultural Metaphor in the image writing of female revolutionary",focuses on the gender characteristic in the image writing of female revolutionaries in the late Qing Dynasty,as well as the special revolutionary forms presented by the narrative perspective.It also explores the unique value of "woman" for the images of female revolutionaries and literati in the late Qing Dynasty.
