oil painting is a unique artistic style produced by contemporary oil painting under the influence of Chinese traditional cultural concepts based on Chinese traditional aesthetics.It is the artistic fruit of the integration and communication of Chinese and Western painting art.During the development of Chinese oil painting in the past hundred years,through the combination of western oil painting art form and Chinese traditional painting aesthetics,the Chinese image oil painting with the unique aesthetic conception of the East has emerged.The "fusion of Chinese and Western" based on the national traditional aesthetics not only conforms to the aesthetic tendency of Chinese society,but also reflects the advocacy of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.It is also an indispensable artistic force in the development of world culture and art.On the basis of discussing the relevant theories of image expression in oil painting,this paper seeks for the formal language characteristics of image oil painting expression in painting,and expounds the creative thinking,process,summary and feeling of the author’s graduation work "Impression Mountain City" combined with the theory.This article is divided into five chapters: the first chapter describes the cultural origin of image oil painting;The second chapter elaborates the creation basis of the graduation work Impression Mountain City,which is the theoretical basis and practical basis respectively.The third chapter is based on the case analysis of the famous artists in the previous chapter,to explore the form language of the image oil painting in the graduation works;The fourth chapter shows the creation process of the graduation work Impression Mountain City,which is divided into three parts: from the origin of creation to the composition design,and then to the drawing of the draft,the problems and solutions in the picture run through the whole process;The fifth chapter is the summary and reflection of graduation works.In the creation of theory combined with practice,in the practice of repeated deliberation,looking for their own painting language,painting emotion expression,for the development of their own artistic creation to seek a correct direction.
