Research On Women’s Work In Hunan Land Reform Movement

After the founding of new China in 1949,the country is waiting for prosperity.As the fundamental issue of the Chinese revolution for thousands of years,the land issue has been deeply valued by the Communist Party of China.The CPC Central Committee decided to carry out a massive land reform movement in the vast rural areas of the newly liberated areas.In the movement,the CPC Central Committee paid special attention to the mobilization of women.Women played a great role in the land reform movement.Under the leadership of the Communist Party of China,they divided the land by their own strength and gained a position in economy and politics.This paper takes the land reform movement after the founding of the People’s Republic of China as the research basis,selects women in the land reform movement in Hunan Province as the research object,and makes an in-depth exploration on the policies,contents,principles and measures to mobilize women in the land reform movement.Before the land reform,Hunan women generally had no economic and social status,and lacked the organization of women.Due to the long-term bondage of feudal thought,women’s thought was backward and had more concerns.This also makes it very difficult to mobilize women deeply during the land reform period.At the same time,because women themselves suffer the deepest oppression and suffer the most,once launched,they will be unstoppable.Therefore,it is necessary and important to mobilize women.In order to realize women’s liberation,the CPC Central Committee promulgated the common program of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference,the marriage law of the People’s Republic of China and the land reform law of the People’s Republic of China,which guaranteed women’s rights and realized women’s liberation from many aspects such as politics,marriage and land ownership.This paper is divided into four parts.The first part introduces the situation of women before the land reform in Hunan,expounds the oppression suffered by women,discusses the status of women in Hunan before the land reform from three aspects:Women’s economic status,political status and social status,and discusses the necessity and importance of land reform to liberate women.The second part introduces the women’s mobilization in the land reform,and mainly discusses the policies,contents,principles and measures of women’s mobilization in Hunan in the process of land reform.This paper combs the policies of the CPC Central Committee on women’s liberation,and introduces the specific contents of mobilizing women in Hunan’s land reform.The third part introduces Hunan Women in the land reform,mainly discusses the specific process of women’s participation in the land reform in the land reform struggle,and women have effectively improved their social status in class division,confiscation and land distribution.The fourth part evaluates the land reform movement from two aspects: positive effects and shortcomings.Women’s access to land is not only a benefit of women’s liberation,but also promotes social production and social harmony.In short,the most intuitive change in the land reform is that women have access to land,material improvements have been made,and the needs of poor farm and farm women have been initially met.The prestige of the landlord class has basically been defeated,bowed its head to the farmers,and eliminated the feudal exploitation system of the landlord class.
