In the journey of the new-democratic revolution,the Chinese youth movement broke out along with the profound changes of China’s economic political and social structure,and was carried out under the consistent leadership of the CPC.Absolute obedience to the leadership of the CPC is an important guarantee for both the sound and orderly development and the ultimate victory of Chinese youth movement.The history of the new-democratic revolution proves that the leadership of the CPC over Chinese youth movement has its own historical realistic and scientific logic.During the new-democratic revolution,three decades of glorious history of the leadership of the CPC over the youth movement,after the exploratory stage of the founding of the Party,can be divided into four stages.During the period of Great Revolution,the CPC,who provided the formation of proletarian youth movement with organizational guarantee as well as centralized and unified leadership,took advantage of the forming of revolutionary culture,uniting the young people to build up youth power of compound type.During the period of the Agrarian Revolutionary War,the CPC supplied youth movement with directional guidance,taking steady steps to show solicitude for teenagers in revolutionary base areas and reform youth organizations in concrete practice while leading the youth movement;Chinese youth united front took initial shape in such process.During the period of Total Resistance,the CPC further identified the nature,task and direction of youth movement,guiding young people and youth organizations to join in the movement to resist Japanese aggression and save the nation with the support of youth salvation association;targeted strategic decisions aimed at the youth from various areas were made as well.During the period of the War of Liberation,the CPC not only led young people in the liberated areas to join the army,the war,the land reform and the construction of the youth league but also headed young people in KMT-controlled areas to form second battle lines;the construction of youth organizations got enhanced constantly,Chinese youth movement reaching its new high tide with irresistible force.In the meantime the CPC led the youth to destroy an old world,mobilizing the youth to actively participate in national independent movement as well as People’s Liberation Movement.In assisting the youth to achieve the dominant position among the whole society,the CPC was incomparable in the aspect of its contributions made in the leadership of Chinese youth movement.In the course of guiding the youth to seek independence and liberation for the Chinese nation as well as dignity and happiness for the Chinese people,the CPC has made plenty of brilliant revolutionary achievements.The historical experience from three decades of combined wisdom has been gained in the meantime.That is,Chinese youth movement is based on the correct leadership of the CPC and advanced youth organizations under the leadership of and serving for the CPC.Moreover,the CPC should timely adjust itself to the development and change of the revolutionary situation in terms of its leadership pattern,whose conducting authority should take many forms flexibly with the development of era.Valuable lessons have been provided for the development of the youth work in the new era,consisting of the scientific path of leading the youth movement developed by the CPC,the methodology of boosting the steady and healthy development of the youth organizations and the youth movement shaped by the CPC,and the positioning and transformation of the CPC.
