The primary role of museums has increased from the original protection of cultural relics to the profound cultural value edification of the public through their historical and cultural backgrounds.This is also a new trend in the future of museum functions.Through this trend,museums have transformed into an important medium for cultural dissemination,providing a platform for the public to communicate with culture.Therefore,the promotion of the visual image and brand image of museums has become an urgent issue to be resolved.The improvement of visual image and branding can effectively shorten the distance between the public and cultural relics,and can effectively improve the communication effect.The Northern Dynasty was a wonderful era in the history of our country,an era that advanced against the current but linked the past and the future,opening up a precedent for the prosperous era of the Sui and Tang dynasties.It bears the theme of the era of ethnic migration,clash of civilizations,and artistic integration.Openness and pluralism have become the main theme of this period,and are also an inevitable trend in history.The ethnic minorities in the Northern Dynasties served as founders,and the Tuoba family of the Xianbei ethnic group dominated the political power to establish the country,expand its territory,and later integrate the Hu and Han dynasties into social progress.Therefore,the Northern Dynasty successfully transformed from a nomadic people on the grasslands into a centralized state under the feudal system,realizing an era of ethnic integration and cultural pluralism.The process of mutual integration,mutual influence,and common progress between the original grassland civilization and agricultural civilization in the Northern Dynasty,until complete localization,coupled with the opening of the Silk Road in the Northern Dynasty,greatly promoted the richness,acceptance,and diversity of the Northern Dynasty civilization.The prosperity of social life and culture in the Northern Dynasty reflects the unique spiritual outlook and aesthetic connotation in the process of civilization exchange and mutual learning and ethnic integration during the Northern Dynasty.This article takes the Datong North Dynasty Art Museum as the design research object,combines the current situation of visual image design of museums,and provides a constructive theoretical basis for the establishment of the visual image of the North Dynasty museums.Firstly,understand the historical and cultural background of the Northern Dynasty and discover the shortcomings of the visual image design of the Northern Dynasty Art Museum;Secondly,by accurately positioning the visual image of the Northern Dynasties,we can grasp the principles of integrity,artistry,and brand sustainability in visual image design,and construct its design ideas,integrating visual aesthetics,cultural heritage,and brand communication into the construction of visual images.Based on the above ideas,explore and develop a visual image design strategy for the Datong North Dynasty Art Museum;Secondly,by studying the modeling features,decorative features,composition rules,and forms of expression of the Datong Mingtang site and unearthed cultural relics,the historical and cultural elements are extracted and transformed into visual language.The graphical elements are summarized,innovatively restructured,and the culture of the Northern Dynasty is conveyed to the public in a modern and youthful language form;Finally,the design practice of the basic system and application system of museum visual image design can demonstrate the cultural characteristics of the Northern Dynasty in multiple dimensions,establish a brand image,and make the output of cultural achievements more effective.Visual image design plays an important role in the cultural dissemination of museums.As a unique public cultural undertaking,museums fundamentally aim to disseminate culture to the public and maximize the realization and display of the historical and cultural value of their collections.So,how to combine the cultural elements of the Northern Dynasties with today’s design display forms to give museums new vitality.According to modern aesthetic trends and design trends,the brand concept will continue to deepen in the museum’s visual image design system,creating a customized visual image for the Datong North Dynasty Art Museum through a combination of ancient and modern methods.Finally,I hope to improve the quality of its overall brand visual image and the communication quality of the North Dynasty brand,so as to better promote the culture of the North Dynasty.
