Maternal sensitivity plays a critical role in multiple areas of infant development.In the early infancy of children,maternal sensitivity directly predicts their social-emotional competence,attachment security and many other key elements.The source text of this report is excerpted from The Maternal Sensitivity Program—A Model for Promoting Infant Development in Challenging Contexts(Chapter Ⅰ and Chapter Ⅱ),which introduces the theoretical and empirical underpinnings of maternal sensitivity program in detail.The source text aims to improve the overall sensitivity of mothers to infant behavior,promote mothers’ awareness of infant mental activities,while encouraging infants to actively express their needs and emotions.Online machine translation software has become a viable means of aiding or substituting human translation due to its efficiency,convenience,and economy.However,the current quality of machine translation is still incomparable to that of professional human translation.Therefore,machine translation and post-editing(MTPE)is particularly crucial in order to meet the required quality standards and is now a hot topic in the translation service industry.The author chooses the machine translation of Google’s biomedical-specific translation software from Zhiyun Literature Translation Software as the original version.This report combines Professor Li Changshuan’s CEA framework with specific translation examples to analyze the key points and difficulties arising in the practice of psychological translation from the perspectives of understanding,expression,and adaptation.The goal is to express ideas accurately and fluently with logical coherence.Additionally,the advantages and disadvantages of implementing machine translation in psychological text are examined in the report,along with potentially viable post-editing strategies,enriching the text types available for MTPE studies.The author hopes that this translation practice can not only provide some reference for those who are interested in the MTPE model but also help readers understand attachment theory and maternal sensitivity,treat children’s behavior correctly,and provide new ideas for relevant departments and institutions to deal with relevant issues.
