| Romantic relationship satisfaction refers to the individual’s satisfaction with the quality of the romantic relationship at the current stage,and it is the individual’s attitude and evaluation of the romantic relationship.Previous studies mainly explored the impact of members of both parties participating in activities in a romantic relationship on romantic relationship satisfaction,and seldom explored the impact on romantic relationship satisfaction from personal self-expansion outside the relationship,that is,personal self-expansion and sharing experiences.In July 2017,the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League,the Ministry of Civil Affairs,and the National Health and Family Planning Commission issued the 《 Guiding Opinions on Further Improving the Work of Youth Marriage and Love》,pointing out that falling in love and starting a family is a major event in life and a common need for young people.Doing a good job in youth marriage and love will not only directly affect The healthy development of youth is also related to the harmony and stability of society;marriage and love are regarded as an important field of youth development,goals and tasks are clarified,and development measures are formulated.College students are in the early stages of adulthood,and good early romantic experiences can lead to happy marriages later.How to maintain a good early romantic relationship and improve the satisfaction of young people’s romantic relationship requires more theoretical and practical research in psychology.This study takes college students who have been in love as subjects,and explores the impact of shared experiences in love and personal self-expansion on romantic relationship satisfaction through three studies.Study 1 investigated 235 college students’ romantic relationship satisfaction,shared experiences,and personal self-expansion through a questionnaire survey.The results showed that both shared experiences and personal self-expansion significantly predicted romantic relationship satisfaction,and personal self-expansion moderated the effect of shared experiences on romantic relationship satisfaction.Study 2 conducted a pre-experiment with 62 college students as the research object.The level of personal self-expansion of the subjects was manipulated through the adapted experimental materials,and all the subjects shared the events they experienced with their partners.To examine differences in personal self-aggrandizement in romantic relationship satisfaction and relationship intimacy in the context of sharing.The results showed that subjects with different levels of personal self-aggrandizement showed no significant differences in romantic relationship satisfaction or intimacy.Study 3 manipulated the two variables of shared experience and personal self-expansion level,conducted a field experiment of 2(shared experience:shared vs not shared)× 2(personal self-expansion level: high vs low)field experiment,and investigated the effects of shared experience and self-expansion level on romantic impact on relationship satisfaction.The results show that there are significant differences in romantic relationship satisfaction under different shared experience situations,and affect romantic relationship satisfaction through relationship intimacy.Romantic relationship satisfaction is also different under different levels of personal self-expansion.High self-expansion levels lead to higher romantic relationship satisfaction,but there is no interaction between shared experience and personal self-expansion,suggesting that shared experience and personal self-expansion are Each has an impact on romantic relationships.In summary: This study draws the following conclusions from the effects of shared experiences and levels of self-aggrandizement on romantic relationship satisfaction:(1)There is a positive relationship between the sharing experience of college couples and the satisfaction of romantic relationship,and the satisfaction of romantic relationship brought by sharing experience is higher than that of not sharing experience.(2)Relationship intimacy plays a mediating role between shared experience and romantic relationship satisfaction,that is,shared experience affects romantic relationship satisfaction by affecting relationship intimacy.(3)The moderating role of personal self-aggrandizement in the effect of shared experiences on romantic relationship satisfaction is unstable.Personal self-expansion and shared experience affect romantic relationship satisfaction from two different aspects,that is,the level of self-expansion as "cold cognition"has an impact on romantic relationship satisfaction;sharing experience as "hot emotion" has an impact on romantic relationship satisfaction Influence. |
