| Economic security situation in Northeast Asia has occasionally been volatile.Additionally,effective and extensive economic cooperation once failed to be launched among those Asian countries.At the same time,with protectionism and unilateralism surging worldwide,it is of great significance that China,Japan,and Republic of Korea,being the three major economies of Northeast Asia,launch out sustained cooperation,which is conducive to the regional prosperity and stability.In 2011,the Trilateral Cooperation Secretariat was set up.The International Forum for Trilateral Cooperation,which rotates among the three countries every year,is of great importance of forming future-oriented and win-win cooperation relations.China-Japan-ROK cooperation interests the author most among other international subjects.Therefore,she selects “the Second Session of 2021 International Forum for Trilateral Cooperation,the Path forward for Revitalized Economic Cooperation amid the Pandemic”,to carry out simulated simultaneous interpreting,and thereafter recorded its whole procedure from pre-interpreting,on-spot interpreting to post-interpreting of the simultaneous interpreting task.Guided by Memetics,the author analyzed interpreting strategies adopted in the interpreting task,which fall into 3 major sub-types,syntactic strategy,semantic strategy,and pragmatic strategy.The case study in the report shows that Memetics can enhance the acceptability of the target language and facilitates effective communication.This report includes five parts.The first one demonstrates the background,features,challenges,and objectives of the interpreting task;the second part describes the interpreting process,including pre-interpreting preparation,on-spot interpretation,and post-interpreting issues;the third part underlines theoretical framework,memetics,and the three translation strategies;the fourth part elaborates on cases studies;and the fifth part summarizes the report. |
