| Mental image refers to the perception-like representation formed in people’s brain when things are not in front of them.It is the result of information processing of the traces left by the perceptual process.It is intuitive,generalized and operable.Many studies have shown that when people produce mental images,they activate the same brain regions as in the perceptual stage,and also produce similar eye movements as in the perceptual stage.This indicates that mental imagery and visual perception have similar neurophysiological basis.In recent empirical studies on visual eye movement abroad,the basic starting point is to define visual imagery as the memory of visual perception objects.Therefore,the two-stage blank experiment paradigm of "perception-image" is adopted.However,it is still controversial whether the position of visual eye movement generation is consistent with the position of eye movement in perception stage.The experimental results of some studies show that the coordinates of fixation point of visual eye movement are significantly higher than those of visual eye movement in perception stage.Whether this is caused by the influence of the orientation of stimulus materials in perception stage on the visual eye movement of subjects remains to be explored.If the directivity of static materials has an effect on representational eye movement,does the motion state of materials have a directional effect on representational eye movement? In the past,situational imagery was mostly induced by the way of text guidance,which was generated immediately when the text content was seen.If the way of text guidance is used,it will not only affect the generation of the eye movement of imagery,but also lead to the problem of not timely recording of eye movement.To sum up,this study adopts the two-stage blank experiment paradigm of "perception-representation" to explore the eye movement characteristics of representation generation by changing different perceptual materials(static/dynamic,object/situation).The research results are as follows:Through experiment 1,the results of previous studies were firstly verified,that is,the image stage will produce eye movement,and the eye movement trajectory is similar to that of the perception stage.Secondly,it was proved that the individual eye movement of the image of the static figure will focus more on the side with larger internal area of the figure.The experimental material of experiment 2 is dynamic graphics,and the pattern of visual eye movement trajectory of subjects changes from the direction of area to the direction of movement,that is,the eye movement trajectory of subjects will be shifted by the direction of movement in the perception stage.It can be said that the first two experiments have proved that no matter static or dynamic experimental materials will have an impact on the visual eye movement of subjects.In experiment 3,situational stimulus materials were used and speech was used to induce image generation.The results showed that speech could induce image generation,and image eye movement would purposefully stay in the area corresponding to the speech content. |
