A Study On Li Wei And His Xinyuantang Poetry Collection

Li Wei is an important Taige scholar from Shunzhi to Kangxi in the early Qing Dynasty.He has written many poems and articles.Xinyuantang Poetry Collection is his most representative literary work.At present,there is little research on Li Wei and his poems in academic circles.This paper takes Li Wei and his Xinyuantang Poetry Collection as the research object,focusing on Li Wei’s family background and life,different versions of poems,poetry themes and poetry characteristics,in order to explore Li Wei’s position in the early Qing Dynasty and the literary value of Xinyuantang Poetry Collection.The first chapter is mainly based on the family tree,local chronicles and other materials to comprehensively sort out the family background of Li Wei,analyze the development of the Li family in Pangkou,Gaoyang and its influence on Li Wei,and based on the biography and epitaph of Li Que in Qing Dynasty documents,the records of Li Wei in Qing Shilu and Li Wei ’s self-reports in his poems sort out the main experiences of his life,and divide his life into three stages to analyze the change of Li Wei ’s mentality before and after he became an official in the Qing Dynasty.The second chapter based on the poems of Li Wei’s friends with other literati in the Poems of Xinyuantang,the preface and epitaph of Li Wei’s poems for others,and the poems and chronicles of other contemporary literati,the main characters who made friends with Li Wei were determined,so as to test Li Wei’s literary friends and analyze their characteristics.The third chapter mainly investigates the edition of Xinyuantang Poems and sorts out Li Wei’s other writings according to relevant materials.The fourth chapter analyzes the content and main characteristics of the poems in Xinyuantang Poetry Collection.Among them,the style of the poems about living in idleness and singing and giving farewell is like "wind",the style of the poems about people’s livelihood is like "elegance",and the style of Yingzhi and respectful poems is like "song".Although the styles are different,the poems as a whole present the characteristics of peace,profoundness,neutrality and elegance.The important reason is that Li Wei adheres to the poetry creation principles of "based on temperament,focusing on learning" and "from the righteousness of temperament".The specific creation of poems can further prove that his poems are all from the true feelings and completed in one go.The fifth chapter discusses the status of Li Wei in the poetry world in the early Qing Dynasty and the literary value of Xinyuantang Poetry Collection.The poetics advocated by the Jingling School and others,as well as the poetics controversy of Zongtang or Zongsong in the early Qing Dynasty,with a broad mind and a broad vision,chose to take advantage of the advantages and disadvantages of poets and poems of the past dynasties,and at the same time opposed the creation of pure imitation of the ancients.poetic way.His firmness in returning to the elegant tradition and his attempt to integrate the poetic style of Taige and mountain forests had a certain influence on the development direction of poetry in the early Qing Dynasty to a certain extent.It helps to enrich the research on Taige literati in the early Qing Dynasty.Moreover,from the content of poems and essays in Xinyuantang Poetry Collection,we can also feel the living state and psychological state of Li Wei,a Han literati after his official career in the Qing Dynasty.
