With the advent of the "era of picture reading",images are playing an increasingly important role in visual language,and human dissemination of information has begun to present diversified ways that complement each other.In recent years,the development of children’s periodicals is also on the rise,and it has attracted continuous attention in the academic and educational circles.Images play an important role in children’s periodicals.It not only presents abstract knowledge into representation,but also improves the aesthetics and interest of periodicals.Therefore,the value of image education in the form of art illustrations has gradually attracted the attention of scholars.At present,the illustrations in children’s journals have problems such as the lack of children’s standard theory,single form and serious homogenization.It is of great theoretical and practical significance to study the design of visual elements of the image narrative of children’s journals.Based on image narratiology,this paper will analyze the visual elements in the images during the development and prosperity of Children,and combine them with the current innovative presentation mode of image narrative visual elements.Summarize excellent children’s journals in the image narrative function of visual element design experience and method,to solve children’s journal is the problems in the field of image,and full use of visual art technique and image narrative concept on design practice,the image narrative visual element design method,in the field of children’s journal image design put forward the possibility of further thinking,and provide children to promote the healthy growth of high quality journals.
