Reference And Learning Of Marlene Dumas’s Painting

Marlene Dumas challenged traditional aesthetic experience by transforming images and visual media into concrete images in a painting language that was different from traditional art.Using personal spiritual painting language to express the times and artists’ thoughts and emotions has profound theoretical significance and has an enlightening effect on the development of contemporary art.Through the research and analysis of Dumas’ painting works,it not only provides a theoretical basis for this paper,but also provides more practice and thinking for this painting creation.This article takes Marlene Dumas’ paintings as the starting point for research,summarizes Marlene Dumas’ artistic characteristics,and explores the inspiration of her unique painting language,painting concepts,screen composition,and colors in her paintings for the "Presence" series.Through learning and using for reference from Marlene Dumas’ paintings,we explore personal emotions,combine creative practice,improve artistic language and techniques,while retaining individual characteristics,adhere to innovation in creation,and maximize the expression of true feelings in our works.
