"Some Opinions on Further Strengthening the Work of School Physical Education" points out that Chinese universities need to innovate the content,methods and carriers of physical education teaching activities.As an important part of college physical education,it also means that college physical dance also faces new challenges in the effectiveness and innovation of teaching methods.The opening of Dance Sport in colleges and universities is a key stage for the country to prepare talents for this program,because specialized college students will become the main force in the promotion and teaching of Dance Sport after employment,which will have a far-reaching influence on the future development of Dance Sport in China and the improvement of the specialization of the new generation of Dance Sport.Moreover,students in this age group have high emotional richness and thirst for knowledge.However,the current relatively simple infusion teaching method is a little weak,resulting in a low level of classroom activity of specialized college students,unable to meet their growing needs for specialized knowledge.Considering the characteristics of sports dance which combines competition,entertainment and appreciation,the author finds that,Situational teaching method based on the theory of situational teaching supports the transfer learning of different classes,units and grades,and can mobilize the enthusiasm and learning efficiency of students at this stage to a greater extent by flexibly creating vivid,specific and diverse situations in line with the special subject.At present,there are various teaching methods applied in the teaching of sports dance in colleges and universities,but in this process,some teaching methods appear to have a low fit with sports dance.In the process of theoretical research of teaching methods,there are problems such as generalization,lack of depth or lack of innovation.Therefore,this paper aims to take waltz dance,the most basic and representative of standard dance,as an example.Through the experimental study on the application of situational teaching method in the teaching of waltz dance in colleges and universities,more efficient and more suitable teaching methods of sports dance in colleges and universities are explored to promote the development of sports dance teaching in colleges and universities.This study adopts the method of literature,expert interview,questionnaire survey,teaching experiment and mathematical statistics.40 students majoring in sports dance from Shandong University of Physical Education in 2021 are taken as the experimental objects.Under the condition of strict control of the experiment,experimental intervention is carried out on their groups.The control group used traditional teaching methods to carry out teaching experiment research.The two groups took three dimensions of special physical fitness,learning interest and special technology as the test index of this study.Through comparative analysis of the data before and after the experiment,the advantages of situational teaching method applied in the teaching of waltz dance in colleges and universities were obtained,and then the research conclusions were drawn.Based on the research of teaching practice,it is concluded that situational teaching method is feasible to apply in the teaching of waltz dance in colleges and universities,and the following conclusions are drawn:1.Situational teaching method can promote the development of strength,balance,endurance and coordination of students majoring in waltz dance in colleges and universities.However,the data comparison between the two classes after the experiment is not significant,indicating that situational teaching method has no significant effect on the promotion of physical fitness compared with traditional teaching methods.2.Situational teaching method improves students’ sense of classroom experience and sense of achievement in independent learning by creating diverse and interesting teaching situations,stimulates students’ interest in learning,reduces their negative psychology in class,and enhances their awareness of active participation in skills learning and extracurricular activities as well as their attention to waltz dance.3.Compared with traditional teaching methods,situational teaching method has significant differences in the four dimensions of technical quality,application of music,choreography and presentation,and non-verbal communication when applied to waltz teaching in colleges and universities,indicating that situational teaching method has more advantages in improving the technical level and presentation ability of students specializing in waltz dance in colleges and universities,and has certain promotion value.
