| For the increasingly weary souls of our time,it is imperative to construct a sense of belonging in an environment of dramatic global change.The source text offers a fresh perspective on what constitutes a sense of belonging.The ST is part of Belonging in Changing Educational Spaces: Negotiating Global,Transnational,and Neoliberal Dynamics(Chapters 2-4).It focuses on how Neoliberalism affects educators,policymakers,and the general way of thinking.Reiss’ s Text Typology divides texts into four types: informative texts,expressive texts,operative texts,and audio-medial texts.The original text intends to convey important information to researchers,scholars,and educators in the field of International and Comparative Education,helping them further understand the causes of the lack of belonging education under global dynamics and how to cope with it.Therefore,in the translation process,the original information should be accurately,faithfully,and objectively transmitted to readers to ensure the readability of the translation.The most typical features of the source text are rigorous logic,concise language,and emphasized objectivity.The translation of logical connectors and semi-attributive clauses brings some challenges to translators and therefore becomes the focus of this report.Based on the principles of Text Typology,the translator adopts such translation methods as omission,conversion,addition,free translation,and translating into adverbial clauses to make the translation more logical and objective to realize the transmission of information. |
