This work by Haydn, together with Hummel’s Concerto in E flat major and Neruda’s Concerto in E flat major,is one of the three major classical trumpet concertos;it is a landmark work in terms of instrumental improvement for the trumpet, reflecting the advances in instrumentation made during the classical period and enriching the performance function missing from the natural trumpet of the Baroque. As one of the most representative works in the trumpet repertoire, and one of the most widely known,it is well worth exploring in depth. In this article, the author firstly introduces the composer and the background of the work to give the reader a certain understanding of the work, and then presents a stylistic analysis of the work, using musical analysis to show the structure of the repertoire and to further develop the understanding of the work. This is followed by an introduction to each of the performers, and then a comparison of the different elements of each version(tempo, rhythm, intensity, musical treatment)to achieve the central aim of the text, while elaborating on the similarities and completing the requirements for a comparative logic;and concludes with a comparison of the florid sections, which are a special feature of the work,in the preparation of each version The individual characteristics of each performer are highlighted.
