The fundamental purpose of learning a language is to develop communication the communicative skills.And moderate redundancy can help speakers express themselves more fluidly and smoothly,amd also better express their emotions.There is a wealth of ontological research on redundancy,and applied research is mostly in English teaching.There are fewer studies in Chinese teaching,and almost none on the oral training for the middle level.The redundant corpus of the New Target Chinese Speaking Textbook 5 has been collated in terms of vocabulary,syntax,discourse,and pragmatics.And the conceptualization of redundancy training’s discourse and pragmatic content is based on the analysis of the corpus.The training method incorporates scaffolding and task-based learning as well as retelling and communicative training.Then,the teaching practice of redundant training was carried out according to the instructional design,and the pre-test and post-test comparisons revealed changes in the students’ oral abilities.Surveys are sent out for things like basic student profiles and teaching evaluations.After the experiment,accuracy,fluency,complexity,and the redundancy degree were used as the oral evaluation criteria,and the recordings’ data were processed by Audacity,Tang Chinese Education,Wen-Pi Pi,and Niuco Data.It was found that the redundant training can adjust the total redundancy degree to a more appropriate level,slightly improve accuracy,fluency,while significantly improve complexity.It provides effective strategies for students who are nervous and lack clear ideas,and a more logical form for good students.In general,redundant training can improve oral ability of the middle level students.Based on the analysis of experimental findings,this study provides some suggestions for the redundant training of middle level students.Adjusting the level of redundancy,and enhancing fluency,accuracy,and complexity of the redundant state.The former can modify the format of information in accordance with contextual circumstances,take into account already-known information through segmental logic and superabundant description,and incorporate secondary information in accordance with communicative principles and techniques.And the improvement of oral ability should focus on both short-term effective strategies and long-term training,feedback,monitoring,adjusting.
