Junior high school students are in a critical period of life development.In addition to academic achievement,it is more important to have a healthy mental state.Subjective wellbeing is one of the important factors to measure mental health.With the development of the Internet,the use of social networks It is also becoming more and more universal.Therefore,studying how the use of passive social networks affects subjective well-being is also a very valuable topic.Subjective well-being means that in life,individuals set certain criteria for themselves,and judge their own overall living standards according to the criteria.For passive social network use,the currently more widely accepted definition refers to individuals who use the Internet less to exchange information,and more to browse information,such as browsing other people’s update status,information release,and so on.Self-concept clarity refers to the individual’s comprehensive perception,judgment and evaluation of oneself.Social comparison is a very common and ubiquitous psychological phenomenon.It means that individuals usually compare their current state with the state of other people such as peers and friends.Finally,through comparison,they can improve their own Awareness,get an overall assessment of yourself.When an individual compares with others,who are more powerful than himself,it is an upward social comparison.In this study,457 junior high school students used a questionnaire survey method to deeply study the relationship among junior high school students’ passive social network use variables,selfconcept clarity variables,upward social comparison variables and subjective well-being variables.,To explain the mechanism of the use of passive social networks on subjective well-being.For the first time,he proposed to use self-concept clarity and upward social comparison as a dual intermediary study,and obtained the following research results:(1)Junior high school students generally have a higher subjective well-being.In terms of gender,boys’ subjective well-being scores are significantly higher than those of girls;there are significant differences in the factor of only children,and only children have a higher level of subjective well-being;different household registrations There are differences.The scores of urban household registration are significantly higher than those of rural areas.There are significant differences in fathers’ academic qualifications,mainly in high school(including secondary school,vocational college),university(including junior college),and master’s degree and above.The score is higher than that of junior high school and below;There are significant differences in academic qualifications.The score of a master’s degree and above is higher than that of junior high school and below,high school(including technical secondary school,vocational college),university(including junior college),and high school(including technical secondary school,vocational college)scores are higher than junior high school and below;There is a significant difference in the income of different families,with a monthly household income of more than 5,000 yuan and a score higher than that of less than 5,000 yuan.(2)There is a significant positive correlation between the passive social network use,self-concept clarity,upward social comparison and subjective well-being of junior high school students;life satisfaction,emotional experience,upward social comparison and subjective well-being are among the twoThere is a significant positive correlation between pairwise;emotional experience is significantly positively correlated with passive social network use and self-concept clarity.(3)The use of passive social networks by junior high school students can directly affect subjective well-being,and can also have an indirect effect on subjective well-being through the mediating variable of self-concept clarity.(4)When junior high school students use passive social networks,they do not have an impact on their subjective well-being through upward social comparison.Therefore,upward social comparison does not have a significant difference between the passive social network use and subjective well-being of junior high school students.Mediation effect.In summary,the conclusions of this study are: the overall subjective well-being of junior high school students is relatively high;passive social network use can directly affect subjective well-being and affect it;it can also be through the mediating variable of selfconcept clarity It has an indirect impact on subjective well-being;while in the upward social comparison of junior high school students,there is no significant mediating effect between passive social network use and subjective well-being.
