| With the rapid development of Internet, the coverage of Internet users in China is increasing rapidly. The scale of Internet users in China has reached 829 million, among which the Internet users aged 20-29 account for the highest proportion.Previous studies at home and abroad have focused on the use of Facebook, wechat, microblog,QQ space and other social networking sites. With the deepening of research on social networking sites, some scholars began to classify the use of social networking sites into active use and passive use. Most of the researches on the use of active social networking sites mainly focus on the influence of self presentation on the subjective well-being of individuals, and the relevant researches have found that both positive self presentation and real self presentation can significantly positively predict the subjective well-being of individuals. Most of the researches on the use of passive social networking sites can negatively predict the subjective well-being of individuals. The reason most of the researchers found is that the use of passive social networking sites can induce individuals to make upward social comparison, which leads to the negative emotions of jealousy of the individuals, and then affect the subjective well-being of the individuals.Recently, the rapid rise of short video social networking sites, with the utilization rate as high as 78.2%.No one has studied the phenomenon of "tiktok" passive social networking site.At the same time,we also know that personality is a common psychological phenomenon. Some studies have shown that individuals with different personality characteristics have different predictions of subjective well-being.The purpose of this study is to explore the influence of short video passive social network use on College Students’ subjective well-being by using up social comparison as an intermediary variable, and try to use big five personality as a moderating variable between short video passivity and subjective well-being.Taking college students as the research objects, this paper uses the method of questionnaire to understand the use of passive social networking sites, upward social comparison, big five personality traits and the overall level of subjective well-being of college students, and then discusses the relationship between passive social networking sites, upward social comparison, big five personality traits and subjective well-being.In order to provide a scientific and reliable theoretical basis for the users of social networkingsites, and provide research reference for the follow-up researchers in this field. This research is mainly divided into two parts: the first part is the revision of the scale;the second part constructs an intermediary adjustment model to explore the internal mechanism of short video passive use on College Students’ subjective well-being.The results show that:(1)the revised short video social website use scale has good reliability and validity;(2)the passive use of short video social website has negative correlation with the upward social comparison and subjective well-being;(3)The upward social comparison has a significant negative correlation with subjective well-being;(4)the passive use of short video social networking sites can directly predict subjective well-being,and can also negatively predict subjective well-being through the upward social comparison intermediary role;(5)The influence of passive use of short video social network on subjective well-being is regulated by neuroticism in Big Five personality traits;(6)the influence of passive use of short video social network on subjective well-being is regulated by extroversion in Big Five personality traits. |
