Functional approach focuses on cultivating the ability of using language to communicate in a specific social context,which is consistent with the primary objective of International Chinese Education.Communicative function is embodied in different functional items,which reflects that International Chinese Education should complete the teaching task of specific functional items.At present,the research related to suspicion mainly focuses on ontology research,and there are few studies on the combination of suspicion functional item and International Chinese Education,which is difficult to meet the needs of suspicion functional item teaching.Based on the transcribed text corpus of the TV series "A Little Reunion",starting from the classification of expression,this paper analyzes the forms,semantics and pragmatics of various expressive ways of suspicion functional item,discusses the use conditions of various expressive ways of suspicion and characteristics of expressing "suspicion" functional discourse.It also compares the suspicious expressions in the oral Chinese teaching materials with those in the actual corpus,and analyzes the problems existing in the teaching materials,put forward some teaching suggestions.The main points are as follows: Firstly,when using sentences containing suspicion functional markers to express suspicion,it is not limited by context.When using euphemism and indirect ways to express suspect,it is highly dependent on context,so we should choose the appropriate expression according to the context.Secondly,for the sake of politeness and face-saving,expressing emotion and different degree of suspicion,people often express their suspicious attitude while asking.Thirdly,the expression of suspicion functional discourse has the characteristics of form diversity and context dependence of meaning.Finally,there are some problems in the oral Chinese textbooks,such as the suspicious expression is not comprehensive,the necessary pragmatic knowledge is not provided,the related practice is not sufficient.Therefore,the arrangement of contents in the teaching materials should be adjusted.Teachers should build a clear teaching system of suspicion functional item,adjust and supplement the teaching content.
