The Party and the government have always attached great importance to the ideological and political education of colleges and universities students.The General Secretary Xi Jinping has repeatedly published statements on studying the history of the Party,the history of the new China,the history of reform and opening up,and the history of socialist development,pointing out that the study and education of the "Four Histories" is the way to read and understand the sinicization of Marxism.At present,the ideological and political education in colleges and universities includes the "Four Histories" education in the top-level of teaching.Based on the differences of teaching characteristics and students’ characteristics,the "Four Histories" learning and education of students in art colleges and universities can be strengthened and deepened by virtue of the four major special artistic forms of fine arts,music,dance and film & television,and has achieved fruitful and remarkable results through the practice in recent years.Therefore,the study and education of "Four Histories" is a great significance to help students in art colleges and universities to establish a correct world outlook,firm lofty ideals and beliefs,establish a correct view of artistic creation,and implement the fundamental task of establishing morality and cultivating people in art colleges and universities.Firstly,through the method of literature research,it states the background of the "Four Histories" learning and education,the theory and value of the "Four Histories" learning and education,then selects some excellent works of fine arts,music,dance and film &television that show the theme of "Four Histories".Secondly,by using inductive analysis to explore the close links between the contents of "Four Histories" and these four types of works of art,it combines with the current situation,puts forward the practical value of the experience of "Four Histories" learning and education for art college students of art majors,general college students and whole society.Finally,according to the relevant "Four Histories" learning and education practice cases collected up the official website of six comprehensive art colleges and universities across the country,and the classified research which was carried out,accoding to the laws of teaching,it tries to explore path of the "Four Histories" learning and education for students in art colleges and universities from the aspects of ideological and political classes,art professional classes,campus art environment construction and art creation.From the practical examples of classroom teaching,campus construction,and artistic creation of teachers and students in domestic art academies,it is concluded that the use of different art forms to carry out "Four Histories" learning and education for students in art colleges and universities will not only improve the teaching level of ideological and political majors and art majors,but also help to improve the effectiveness of "Four Histories" learning and education in the general colleges and universities.This provides reference suggestions for art colleges,universities and the whole society in the future.
