As one of the main kinds of educational games,interactive games of children’s literacy has become an important way to enlighten children’s literacy learning and improve their ability of language expression.By exploring the current market situation of 3-8 year-old children’s interactive literacy games,this paper points out the predicament of traditional linear narrative in children’s interactive literacy games,the feasibility of applying interactive narrative to children’s interactive games of literacy is put forward.From the perspective of children’s cognitive characteristics,this study explores the constituent elements of interactive narrative from four perspectives: the object of narrative,the construction of text plot,the presentation of narrative media,and cognitive-oriented interactive behavior.Based on the investigation of the target children and their parents,this paper constructs an interactive narrative design method of interactive games for children’s literacy through three progressive levels: narrative media system,nonlinear narrative process,online and offline interactive output.Finally,from the aspect of design practice,the author further tests the interactive game design method of children’s literacy by introducing interactive narrative,so that children can improve their cognition and expression ability of Chinese characters in the game,in the continuous reconstruction of the story to deepen the understanding of Chinese characters learning and memory.
