As a we-media disseminating Chinese culture,Li Ziqi has attracted many overseas audiences by virtue of its unique content and affinity brought by unofficial communication forms,and achieved good communication effects.But because the media itself inevitably profit nature,plums and pure in the process of cultural transmission in order to pursue the uniqueness of video,excessive use of Chinese traditional culture symbol,divided reality,even to imagine processing and the type of life,causing them to build the image of China should be original and native,unconsciously catering to the novelty of the westerners to Chinese original,mysterious,It has a strong mark of self-orientalization and falls into the trap of orientalism,thus reinforcing the stereotype of China among overseas audiences.Based on the theory of Orientalism and self-orientalism,this paper tries to take Li Ziqi as an example,through the text analysis of the cultural factors and aesthetic expression in Li Ziqi’s video.As well as the popular comments and high-frequency words from overseas audiences on You Tube platform,to explore the image of China in the eyes of overseas audiences.It also analyzes the enlightenment and problems of cultural communication provided by Li Ziqi’s video,in order to help better dissemination of Chinese culture.
