There are a lot of information in the Liye Qin Bamboo Slips,including a lot of information about the soldiers of the Qin Dynasty,not only their native place,life and service content when they were in the frontier.It provides reliable historical data for further study of garrison groups and garrison system.The purpose of this paper is to reflect how the rulers of the Qin Dynasty sent garrison soldiers by analyzing the hometown of garrison soldiers seen in the Liye Qin Bamboo Slips,which can further explain how the rulers of the Qin Dynasty managed the vast territory.The introduction part combs the academic history of the current academic research on the garrison system and the garrison itself.Although the overall framework of the garrison system has been relatively perfect,the emergence of new materials can still provide ideas for some problems in the garrison system.The first chapter mainly describes the southwest frontier defense system of the Qin Dynasty,including the establishment of special local systems,officials,and registered residence management.Secondly,the topics of the garrison soldiers in the Qin and Han dynasties,such as the identity of the garrison soldiers,the procedure of recruitment,the starting and ending age,etc.In addition,some topics discussed in the garrison system are also reflected in the first chapter,such as the nature of Chengzu,what is "external corvee",and the difference between the garrison and the garrison.The second chapter elaborates on the types of garrisons seen in the Liye Qin Bamboo Slips,including the regular ones,the regular ones,and the punishment ones,the relegation ones,and the redundant ones.Different garrisons reflect different principles of conscription,which also shows the consideration of the rulers of the Qin Dynasty when managing the territory of the Qin Dynasty.The third chapter describes the work content of the garrison soldiers seen in the Liye Qin Bamboo Slips,including running errands with the officials,prison,servants,garrisoning the fields,riding the city,and building the city wall.The treatment of garrison soldiers,including food and clothing,is provided by the government,with specific distribution time and types.The records of Liye Qin Bamboo Slips reflect that the government of the Qin Dynasty had strict control over the garrison soldiers.The escape,debts and transactions,funerals and fights of the garrison soldiers were under the jurisdiction of the government.
