Study On Dujiangyan City Language Landscape From The Perspective Of Language Planning

As an important component of urban landscape,language landscape carries urban culture,reflects the degree of civilization of a city,and is an important window for displaying urban image and language planning.Language landscapes not only express cities,but also participate in the construction of urban functions,affecting the planning,construction,and development of cities.Language planning is an indispensable part of urban planning.Examining the current situation and planning construction of urban language landscapes from the perspective of language planning is an important part of the standardization of urban language landscape construction and urban image construction.Based on the perspective of language planning,this study selects Dujiangyan City Scenic Area(Dujiangyan Irrigation Project and Qingcheng Mountain Front),Business District(West Street,South Street,Xingfu Road),urban trunk roads(Caihong Avenue,Section 1 of Guanjing Road,Puyang Road,Yingbin Avenue,Section 2 of Dujiangyan Avenue)The language landscape in urban public spaces such as stations(Qingcheng Mountain Station,Dujiangyan Station,Lidui Park Station,Yingbin Road Station,Dujiangyan Passenger Transport Center)is taken as the research object.The collected Dujiangyan city language landscape is sorted out and analyzed by using mobile phones to photograph the language landscape,based on the site semiotics and SPEAKING model theory,to discuss the current situation and existing problems of Dujiangyan city language landscape,and further provides an important reference for building a livable park city and an international eco-tourism city in the urban development planning goal of Dujiangyan city.Chapter 1 Introduction.This section mainly elaborates on the background of the topic selection,research significance,theoretical framework,literature review,survey design,and sampling sample overview of the article.The second chapter analyzes the present condition of Dujiangyan city language landscape.The overall situation of Dujiangyan city language landscape is investigated from the three dimensions of language landscape classification,language use and font,and the language use of four different material carriers,namely,road signs of Dujiangyan city language landscape,public signs of government agencies,public signs of scenic spots and shop signs,is further classified from the three dimensions of language code selection,Chinese character font and translation.The third chapter discusses the problems of Dujiangyan city language landscape.Through field investigation and statistical analysis,it is concluded that Dujiangyan city language landscape has problems such as nonstandard language use,nonstandard translation,low degree of internationalization of language codes,regional imbalance,and unequal amount of language information.The fourth chapter is the planning strategy of Dujiangyan city language landscape.In view of the problems existing in Dujiangyan city language landscape,this paper discusses the planning strategy of Dujiangyan city language landscape based on the theory of language planning,the development goals of Dujiangyan’s "14th Five Year Plan",and the related content of language landscape.
