| After the founding of New China,Shen Congwen has been trying to find his place in the new society.During this period,his mentality has undergone many changes.Based on existing historical data,Shen Congwen’s psychological changes can be roughly divided into three stages,namely,the mentality of returning from 1949 to 1952,the "mentality of the wise" after the failure of returning from 1953 to 1965,and the "eclectic mentality" of choosing to return from1966 to 1976.These three stages,on the whole,show the characteristics of preparing to return and the emergence of difficulties-failure to return and self reflection-returning to the team.Through the study of Shen Congwen’s letters,it is not difficult to find that these attitudes have had an important impact on his writing after 1949 and are reflected in his novels,essays,poems,and essays.This thesis takes Shen Congwen’s creative psychology after the founding of New China as the research object,places Shen Congwen in a specific historical environment,and analyzes the impact of his psychological changes on literary creation.The ideological contradictions of 1949-1952 caused him to have a sense of alienation,and during the land reform period,his love for the country and the people caused him to have a mentality of returning to the army.On the issue of the relationship between literature and politics,he not only acknowledged that literature was attached to politics,but also could not give up its independent status.He still adhered to the poetic and romantic writing style,which made him appear in a state of dissociation.But out of his love for the country and people,he hopes to return to the "group".Therefore,his dissociation and return have always been a group of unresolved contradictions.The rural novels,land reform novels,and revolutionary historical novels that were created with the mentality of returning to the ranks contradicted the mainstream writing methods,indicating that returning to the ranks would ultimately fail.From 1953 to 1965,Shen Congwen failed to return to the army.His "country folk" stance and self reflection led him to develop a "wise mindset.".On the one hand,Shen Congwen explored the undying childlike innocence from the standpoint of "country folk" and used it to awaken his inner repressed spirit of criticism and questioning.On the other hand,he measured his way of thinking against the objective world and tried to correct his fantasy emotions."The mentality of the wise man" had a certain impact on Shen Congwen’s creation during this period,which is reflected in his "prose" writing and ancient poetry creation,both retaining his early writing experience and creatively integrating his own thinking about the current society,history,and life.This is also a new spiritual growth point developed by the wise man Shen Congwen in the difficult situation.1966-1976 was an important stage in Shen Congwen’s life process.During this period,we can appreciate his eclectic attitude in his cautious use of "On Practice" and "On Contradiction".The impact of this mentality on its impact on literary creation is manifested in the grafting and blending of different genres,such as writing cultural relics in old-fashioned five-character poetry,and writing history in novels.Therefore,during this period,his cultural epic had the characteristics of writing history with poetry and substituting poetry for text.At the same time,his novel "Who Comes" did not exhibit the characteristics of "history".On the contrary,his novel created a strong lyrical atmosphere in the tracing of history.After the founding of New China,these changes in Shen Congwen’s mentality have demonstrated the difficulty of returning to the team and his spiritual independence and freedom,as well as an important manifestation of his psychological balance in coping with external pressure.The literary creation influenced by these attitudes proves Shen Congwen’s profound cultural heritage and flexible innovation ability,and improves his understanding of his first half of his life and creation. |
