Changtaiguan No.1 Tomb in Xinyang,Henan Province is the largest and richest tomb of the Warring States Period of Chu excavated after the liberation of China. However, over the years, the academic research on this tomb has mainly focused on the unearthed simple treasures of Chu,and there is less research on other artifacts excavated in the tomb.Although the painted brocade unearthed in Changtaiguan Tomb No.1 is broken,it can be largely restored to its original appearance after being pieced together. At present, the remaining lacquer paintings of the body are colorful, rich in content, exquisite and unique. The composition of the picture, artistic image, style and techniques can still be seen.Although the Spring and Autumn period and the Warring States period were in an era of great upheaval and great reform, the development of art and culture in this period was extremely prosperous. The East Zhou painting is the key turning point in Chinese painting history, and the painting of Chu is the representative and symbol of this key turning point. Therefore, strengthening the study of Chu painting can help us realize a more specific and comprehensive picture of Eastern Zhou painting, and enrich the study of the history of early Chinese painting to a certain extent. The“Witch manipulates snake”,“Shoot and hunt”,“Feast and music”,“Sorcerer holding sorcerer’s tool”,and the “Beasts” and“Wizard”drawn by Sewei not only show the development of Chu painting in the early Warring States period, but also reproduce the mysterious witch sacrifice ceremony under the witch worship trend in the Warring States period.Changtai Pass painted brocade lacquer painting has high artistic and cultural value. Therefore, this paper focuses on the lacquer painting, starting from the rich information of the lacquer painting image itself, using the methods of imagology, philology and comparative analysis to carry out in-depth and detailed research,to establish a close relationship between the image and the literature. In the first part,a brief overview of the unearthed information, components, shape analysis and production process of Jinse is made to establish a preliminary understanding. The second part summarizes the composition of the scattered lacquer paintings according to the excavation materials, divides the lacquer paintings into two parts: the two sides of the wall painting and the first and the last, and analyzes and summarizes the similarities and differences between the lacquer paintings of Jinse and other lacquer decoration in the Chu region of the Eastern Zhou Dynasty from the perspective of the overall composition of the picture. The third part continues the above part,on the basis of the relatively complete picture, mainly from the three aspects of color, modeling and layout, targeted analysis of the artistic characteristics of Jinse lacquer painting, and through the subtle points to demonstrate the close relationship between the picture and the picture; The fourth part interprets the theme of lacquer painting images.Firstly,it studies the motif involved in the picture, and then analyzes and researches the main wizard images in lacquer painting. In the process,it establishes the connection between images and literature, and connects a large number of related painting works of the same period.Reveal the rich information behind the images; The fifth part is to guess the function of lacquer painting, mainly from the Chu witchcraft thought, burial culture and the identity of the tomb owner and other aspects of analysis and interpretation.
